It's not for nothing that Norn is my 2nd favorite character I loved seeing her insult and beat the shit out of Rudeus. It was so satisfying! The thing about her is that she's hated for being "normal" seriously, she's like the only character who has had appropriate reactions to all the bullshit that comes her way. I know it's largely because of Lilia's upbringing but I just can't connect with Aisha she's just too controlled in everything emotionally and psychologically. She doesn't react to things like a child her age should, She was basically raised to serve Rudy and be his concubine if needed so I didn't expect much from her but her lack of reaction to her infidelity still made me uncomfortable; she herself knows what it's like to be born as the child of a second wife and the insecurities that can develop as a result. It kills me how some people act like Norn should be okay with polygamy because she herself comes from a polygamous home or outright call her a fanatic just for expressing her beliefs. The environment can influence you but no it does not define who you are. She has the right to disagree with it even if her parents and others practice it. I'm the same as her anyway. That's what I like about Norn, she carries her emotions, her conflicts and her Beliefs at arm's length, she does not allow her behavior to be dictated by others. I liked the fact that even though several people told him to give Rudy a chance the resolution of the conflict between the two ended up being very personal with no outside involvement.
