Although we're 3 days in since we started to do the treatment, they keep coming back like our effort is nothing. My husband bought multiple pest spray that were recommended online, he even went into attic, under the house, inside the house but found no nest, sprayed inside the house, dusted all over where we saw them, airing out with fans 24/7 with AC on so windows all closed, and constantly checking them with flashlight. I'm wiping our kitchen counter 5 times in a day with solutions that are known to kill them, we see improvements I'd say, but always few comes back like it's nothing. We sprayed and dusted DE after drying behind the kitchen counter and cracks where we doubt they are from, I saw one walking around this morning where I can see he's walking on the dust. We also found them in a shaded bathroom that hasn't been used for a while and the closet walls and ceiling that are connecting to the bathroom, sprayed all around the gaps, windows and poured drainer to the drain and covered the entire tab with the spray, dusted after drying out. Next morning 10 or more of them just walking around the tub like it was nothing, we saw few of them walking around the airduct so we closed the gap entirely. My husband found moisture area under our part of the house, so he's buying dehumidifier or fan for that area but he didn't see any nest around there, although he sprayed the entire area with pest spray. We don't understand and depressed from anxiety. We haven't been able to even cook since we don't want to increase the humidity. We live in super dry area, no raining recently and we did everything we could, yet they keep coming back. No idea how long it takes to eliminate them...

Using AC in a house that’s been sealed with closed cell foam insulation will cause humidity inside the house. In houses like this be sure to have a circulator installed by a HVAC tech to ensure proper ventilation. Cooking and living in the home also produces quite a bit of moisture in a house that isn’t well ventilated.

We got a few springtails in the house they're actually not in bathrooms or around sinks because there's no leaks And I use rubber mulch however we had a pretty heavy storm and I believe they came in through the window in our sunroom. That's kind of where they seem to be concentrated. I was going to see if I could spray something on the carpet, but do these guys typically live in the carpet? I have identified them as springtails for sure. They do jump but they are not fleas or mites I've taken a blown up picture and zoomed in on it so I could figure out for sure what it is. I use bifen it around the house plus we get monthly pest service. I was also told to to dust all of the vinyl siding to get rid of them.
@GreenAkersPC
@GreenAkersPC 18 сағат бұрын
Springtails come in from outside but do not infest carpets. If the carpet is moldy or full of fungus I would think they would be attracted to it though but under normal circumstances they are not attracted to carpet but mold and mildew

I want to share my testimonial with everyone who is watching these videos and finding themselves in the same nightmare I was in. I am an EMT and unfortunately brought home bed bugs, which is not all that uncommon for first responders and medical professionals to become exposed to these little pests. I would wake up with itchy welts here and there but it wasnt until one day my whole arm began to itch fiercely and i noticed the multiple bites in a line going up my arm. I knew what this was and sure enough after i threw my sheets off there i was face to face with several fed bed bugs on my mattress. I vaccumed and scrubbed and washed, thinking this would be enough, i even got a cover for my mattress and box spring. The bites went away for maybe two weeks and then they came back again. I dont make alot of money as an EMT so i knew i didnt have thousands of dollars for an exterminator. I tried every product available for bed bugs hoping it would work and i wouldnt need to hire a professional. I did what most of you would do and did extensive research on bed bugs and got conflicting advice. You are either told that you cant do it on your own and MUST hire a professional, you MUST use heat treatments to get rid of them, or you get advertised for products that guarantee to kill them without pesticides (essential oils pretty much). I probably spent more money on crappy ineffective products than i would have on an exterminator. This whole war went on for a year and right before i was ready to call it quits and hire an exterminator i came across Jasons videos and he introduced me to crossfire. I went online and bought me a bottle of it and a sprayer and sure enough, my nightmare was solved. I wish that i would have found these videos sooner before wasting my money on ineffective products and putting my health at risk by spreading DE everywhere. If you are watching these videos than you are probably at your wits end as well thinking theres no end in sight. I hope this story comforts you and shows you that it is possible to get rid of them on your own. Do yourself a huge favor and listen to what Jason says and follow the label and I promise you that you will wake up from this nightmare. Dont waste your money things you dont need. Get yourself some Crossfire. Thank you so much Jason! Your videos really are helping people and I am so grateful to you. @GreenAkersPC

I've always used Ortho Home Defense, but my new apartment has painted baseboards & I find the stream of Ortho is so liquid as opposed to mist, so the liquid is staining the baseboards. Any advice to avoid this? I've been spraying 12 inches away, onto the floor as close to the baseboard I can aim, as opposed to directly on or above them.

Hey Green Akers im using diatomaceous earth for my carpeted apt. only a 8 oz. Bottle but I've put Harris pesticide on my bed and I have a steamer to kill them with. I used the steamer years ago by itself years ago and took a long time but it worked. Plus Im not infested because there's nothing on my mattress so I steamed it let it dry and put a mattress protector on it for a year. Any pointers since you do this a helluva lot more than me. I'm about to buy crossfire. I'm looking for your one vid about sprayers so I get the cheapest but good one. Im low wage so every cent is valuable haha. Anyway. I have empty gallon water bottles. My biggest concern with this is where do I fill it up to? This is the bottles that look like plastic milk jugs, for a visual. If I understand you right, the gallon has to be EXACTLY a gallon else the crossfire won't work. I'm about at the point of taking a measuring cup and counting each ounce so I get exactly 128 oz, That's how paranoid I am. This can't fail. My boyfriend is so allergic to the bites that he itches himself bloody. Looks like a drug addict :( What's your advice on how to know I fill 128 oz of water into the jug? I know you said warm water, not hot. My other concern, should I put some water into the sprayer, take it outside and learn to use it like that before I fill it with chemical? I'm also scared ill spray too much or not enough (I also know the crossfire directiobs I saw online said to not soak the bed but just make it damp-ish), or miss some areas. Do I press the spray nozzle into the mattress folds? Around the folds are the telltale black junk and bugs aplenty. I squeezed boric acid all over the areas I saw the black stuff and saw some of the bugs either faint or die. I'm sure it was 'fainting' because these demon bugs don't just die easy. We have a dust buster we're going to use to vacuum up the boric then wash the filter real good after If I'm over thinking or doing anything wrong, please let me know. If I have the funds left over after buying the sprayer and crossfire, I'll join your tier on here to watch your membership vid on killing these things. So if that info is covered in my questions/observations here, I understand if you can't reply. Just please let me know if it's covered in your members vid. I'm HAPPY to support you, seriously. You're an amazing person, and a life saver to so many.
