nope. silver rings contain no copper, copper is a metal that causes ur skin to have a reaction

He's saying all real 925 will say it's 925 for sure. But there will be of course some that aren't but will write it on there anyway. You would just have to test it if you're skeptical about your piece

If it's silver, just get a polishing cloth from amazon, they're super affordable and will last you a long time. For deep cleanings, you'd have to soak it in chemicals, or take it to a jewelry store and some of them can do that for you

I am suspecting that many Chinese factories making very refined, higher end 'platinum plated silver' jewelry may be using Argentium Silver but they insist they are 'sterling silver'. Able to shed some light on these kind of nice, silver coloured, jewelry, usually set with moissanite?

I believe most jewellery made in China is indeed rhodium plated as standard and yes a lot of the higher end high street brands make their stuff this way

Argentium silver is 93.5% silver. 5.5% copper. 1% germanium. It is 7 times more tarnish resistant than sterling. Favoured by jewelers because it is easier to work with. I believe it was invented in Australia.

Sterling silver is much softer than steel, hence why it has alloys like copper added to it, this hardens the metal 🙃

@@UnbiasedTruth.. yes absolutely. I personally wouldn’t recommend stainless steel for jewellery, it doesn’t produce as nice of a finish and isn’t as easy to work with. It’s often just used for cheap mass produced jewellery.

I found some silverware i picked out of a friend's dumpster that he thought that wernt silver but only a few of them turnd out not to be. And the rest actually turnd out to be 925 silver thank God I got my silver gold and platinum acid test kit it really paid off for me
