I agree with Aurel competely when he says to buy watches that make you happy even if you are alone on a desert island. Personally, I find myself wanting to buy the 'usual suspects' mainly because I feel my money is safer buying watches that are more popular and in demand. I think many collectors face this conundrum, because we don't have unlimited budgets and there is something to be said for the comfort of knowing that your money is not only safe, but that the watch is liquid i.e. you can find a buyer quickly. Your money might also be safe in an obscure vintage watch, but it might take a long time for you to find a buyer willing to pay you that money when it comes time to sell. If you only buy watches to keep, and you're confident you'll never need to sell, than, of course, none of this matters for you. I think it's something each of us needs to determine for ourselves.

Ini tentang selera seorang aktor kawan bukan unboxing jam tangan murahan... Jadi jangan menjudge Stallone sebagai aktor bayaran pembohong... Karna dia hanya memperkenalkan jam tangan koleksinya😊

Happy to see there are still gems out there to be discovered! Only a few short years ago, $6.5M was payed for a Nautilus that was one of 170. This is one of 10, and I don't think it will go for $6.5M

I want to add to my comment, you mentioned the dial is white ceramic; I am very sure that after all this time, especially with older technology, the ceramic has a warmer coloration. If we were to see a reissue of that watch, I am sure it would be done with like an ivory dial to make it warmer and in my opinion, it will never look as good. What I am trying to say is that today's collectors should see a watch and project into the future, it is about tomorrow, not today. If I saw a white version, I know that in 50 years it will be better and for that reason, I will buy it today. Collectors need to be more thoughtful, this is a very long term hobby.

I do not like the nautilus and I know it is certainly personal. However, with a lighter dial such as opaline or creme, it opens up the dial and allows the hard ware to contrast against the dial, especially in pink gold. It becomes more dressy than sporty, kind of like a Cartier's take on a integrated sports watch. There should be a new release with this sort of combination.

I agree completely. A dressier looking Nautilus can only be a good thing. I also like the more uniform tones to both the dial and the date window. It would be even better/dressier without the date complication. That would be a serene watch indeed.
