However, your ability to meet the work experience prerequisite for the CBAP examination largely depends on the specific responsibilities you held in previous roles. Many professionals carry out business analysis tasks without holding the specific title of a Business Analyst or even realising that their duties align with those of a Business Analyst. You're right! The process of defining user stories often involves collaboration between Business Analysts, developers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other team members. Scrum Masters can play a supporting role by facilitating the discussion and ensuring the team stays aligned with Scrum principles. Also in a situation where there is no BA on the project, the Scrum Master may be required to step into the shoes of a BA temporarily to help out as much as possible (not ideal, but I have seen this happen more than once).
