I’m just wondering why this is done? Is the stock TC rod bad for some reason? Does it hit the tie rod when super low?

Tension rod contacts the steering components when laying out a d21 causing binding and holding the truck up from going all the way down.

@@scrapingpavement thanks! I’ve had a 4x4 D21 forever. Just picked up a 2WD and was looking into lowering it. Then of coarse a guy looks into bags after seeing all the cool rigs on the internet. Thanks for the info!

@@scrapingpavement I will right now. I agree with you on this. Mine was always idling too high and the only way to get it to come down to normal was to rev the engine. I actually got pulled over by a copy one night because he thought I was being rude to him.

My mighty max did the same thing! It has a super old relay also. I'm putting new compressors, new relay and a 100amp circuit breaker too. Good to know that it was just your relay.

As far as balljoint angle it would make it worse for a 4x4 as the arm will be angled more down than up like a lowered truck.
