They probably couldn’t find a decent recording of the I-5’s longbell 3. So they just used something else. But I like this whistle too.

Yes, all of the whistles and horns are holdable. Though the two B&O GP-40s have an alt horn that’s the same except it plays for about three seconds before cutting off.

My buddy just finished up my model of Black River & Western 60 in N scale and I’m so happy that I have not only the exact bell, but also the exact chuff from the real 60! He modified a Bachmann 2-8-0 and added a TCS decoder. He also added a taller smoke stack, added decals, added the correct paint, and much more! Thanks again for uploading this. It was great getting to preview what I was in for.

@@jakedewey385 Not yet. It’s a little complicated. I was going for a 1 to 1 scale railroad that was ~2000miles long, but I messed up with some scaling so I’m ending the project. I will be remaking this route the way I intended it on Trainz 2022 when I get a computer. But as far as this route goes, I will be adding a terminal at the end that I stopped that and then I’ll try to release it.

If this is the 4.6 version steam decoder, could you please upload some of the bell’s? Specifically black river and western 60? I REALLY want to hear how the recording. Of 60’s bell came out! Thanks! Also, does anyone know if there is a place where you can listen to samples of all the sounds? I can’t find it on the TCS website.

Thank you. As a member of the Black River and Western Railroad volunteers, I want to see how well it came out. My friend is modifying a Bachmann 2-8-0 for me to look like 60, and it’s going to include this decoder. 60’s bell is so unique in that it is much more low pitched compared to other steam locomotive bell’s. When I read the 4.6 version of the steam decoder had 60’s chuff and MORE IMPORTANTLY for me, 60’s bell, I knew it was time to have a model made of 60. The model won’t be ready for a while yet, so getting to hear the sounds on here would be fantastic.

Thanks! I actually couldn’t find one small enough for HO scale, so I made one out of green pipe cleaner and small red ribbon. I got both of these from Michaels, but you can probably find it in any craft store. Thx for watching :)
