I tried this type of exercise but I sure don't agree it's a good idea. It hurt my lower back fir days afterwards. I don't think sharp. movements like this are good for the body. .

Those with shoulder tendon issues may acutually benefit by shrugging on the way up and holding the shrug until the dumbells are ear height on the way down.

How much does it affect the degree to which you can stretch your hand? E.g., for music - could you stretch as wide a span between thumb and pinky as without the brace? Or does the solid looking strap part not really stretch much? Maybe it can fit slightly lower so that it doesn't interfere with the part of the palm that needs to stretch to widen the hand? (I am looking for support for CMC joint hypermobility/instability, but also need to stretch wide as I have very small hands for a musician!)

Did you nit find this respectful. As a human that hikes at this time of year, I normally don't go alone. There are snakes, the rocks slip, heat cramps, etc. I just like to go with someone, but as long is this is your familiar trail, then go for it.

I do this about 3x a week coz my knees no longer like to squat. It's amazing. This is now one of my favorite moves. Thanks for affirming I'm moving in the right direction! 💪💪
