@@tkost1 Demo devices at Apple Stores run on special software that differs from the software being used on iPhones that are for sale. Apple's anti-theft measures also aren't new, the company has long implemented measures to disable and track display items from being stolen.

All of those phones (the display ones) deactivate when removed from the store and are rendered useless. Helping him would be a crime with no reward. Edit: also worth mentioning they’re tracked.

@@ToastOnCoffeethat’s all not true at all. I work for apple installing these tables. The security is inside the table and he’s ripping the security line. All he has are some display phones that will be jailbroken and sold to drug dealers. Stores can’t stop them due to policy of employees getting hurt. Apple is too big of a company to risk being sued. They need to honestly just put the phones under a solid shred of plex and have scheduled viewings for serious buyers. But that would also impact sales so as of lately they do nothing. They loose but not everything.
