Assalamu Alaikum we've got a big problem with medical assistant Practitioners in Bangladesh. We've been through this as diploma three-year grind, plus a year of internship, and we're stuck in this weird limbo. We can do minor surgery and prescribe some meds, but Medical Officers (doctors) are trying to kick us out of the picture. There's like 30,000 of us already working diploma degree holders, and 50,000 more on the way! The craziest part is our identity crisis. We're called "medical assistants" "paramedic" "DMF Doctor" "Diploma Doctor" etc .but our degree is in medical faculty. Our official designation is "Sub Assistant Community Medical Officer" in goverment health sectors We're licensed from medical & dental council but general people call us "diploma doctors" "paramedical doctors " because our course curriculam is kinda like a Crashed-MBBS. We think we could solve a lot of these problems by copying the Physician Associate (PA) model. we do find some documents where its says our course inspired from PA from america/nedarlands , Clinical Officers from east Africa. American PA profession They've got a clear path, respect, and a solid role. We're thinking of changing our name to something like Diploma Doctor, Medical Associate, Clinical Officer, or Physician Associate. But we need to find a name that everyone gets & globally recognized. What do you think? Can you make a quick video about PAs, their jobs description, private practice authority, and how they're seen? That would be a huge help!

I wish all over the world Medicine practitioners choose common nomenclature, common name, bcoz lots of countries do have clinicians other than doctor/nurse who do practice medicine but not recognised widely

I don't have to take it again until the year 2034! 😁👍🏾👨🏾🦳 I think I'm going to take the CAQ in Hospital Medicine, Lord willing (insha'Allah). 🤔 I don't think it significantly adds to our PA income. Dr omar I have a request or a suggestion. Years ago you made a videos interviewing many different health care workers. I found those videos helpful and I am sure many did. And I hope you relaunch that effort because these videos are buried by youtube and an update and expansion of that list will be helpful for young persons and persons that needs career change. @@ihabmidhat YES! I REALLY want to do this again. It caused me some issues at my job because, I didn't get permission from hospital administrators.😧 So I deleted almost ALL them! It was such good content, and took YEARS to accumulate!😭💔 I am learning how to do virtual interviews videos so, I do have to worry about that. ANY suggestions would be most welcome! 🤗👋🏽👨🏽⚕️

@@OmarAbdulMalikDHEdMPASPACPAPro I didn't tell you this but I was in a tough situtation about a year ago when I wasn't able to decide if I would still even be able to apply to PA school since I already had 2 Ws on my transcript from COVID time (about 3 years back)..and what I was looking at was 2 more Ws last year (since I was very sick and even had to go to the ER for serious respiratory infection). I was in a panic mode even though all the rest of my transcript is bunch of As and A-, some Bs. But I watched one of your videos which said it's fine to have Ws (even 4 or 5) as long as you keep going and try your best! I am ending my senior year strong with about 3.7 GPA and will be applying to PA school after collecting my direct patient care hours. All thanks to you, I kept that hope. Please continue enlightening the world and once again, god bless you! Thank you for your time. All the very best on your recertification exam!!!

Hi there. You may be MORE interested in the "Current Emergency Medicine and Treatment" if you are an ER Physician. It does a great job of reviewing EKGs, sutures skills, assessing and managing severe trauma (gun shot wounds, blunt force, MI, ICH, etc.). It has a beautiful bright red cover. 📕😊 I'm actually a hospitalist PA (Washington, DC) so I find that the "Current Diagnosis and Treatment", is a more applicable text for MY job duties. Most of MY patients have already been stabilized in the ER and, transferred to our facility for further management (long-term-acute-care-hospital/LTACH). I hope this answers your question. Hi. I would recommend purchasing Current "Emergency Medicine " is a red book, by Lange. I'm a hospitalist PA, so the information in the blue book is better suited for my job responsibilities. I hope this answer helps. 🙂👋🏽👨🏽⚕️

There are PAs with doctorates (Health Education, Health Science, Medical Science, PhD, etc.). This is a VERY old video and I USED to go by the KZfaq monikers "Doctor O, the PA Pro". But, it seemed to cause some confusion with people who thought I was a medical doctor. NOW, I've just been going by "Omar" (my actual name). I hope this explains things. Take care.🙂👋🏽👨🏽⚕️
