I've always appreciated the versatility of being black regardless of Shades We Are powerful People Whose Only Kryptonite Is Self destruction We're the Race other Race's Mimic We are everything that Make's Sense in a Rhythm- less World ( Who Else can bring the noise) From the Church house pass the Whore house. The Sound of blackness will not Fade away.

Black folks literally couldnt use regular banks, get "normal" jobs, live in same neighborhoods or go to "good" schools not even a century ago. My parents were in shitty segregated schools. Instead of shaming we need to remember the why. We are fortunate to be able to buy these houses at all!!!!!

Sis, I can relate to your experience 😢😮😢. I almost 16 years old when my mom called my aunty to complain about my stepdad punching her and even gave her a black eye. They didn't know that I was in the other room listening and what I did next next almost send me to jail and ruined by life. I took a knife with me to go get at my mother's house because I meant to hurt him the way he hurt her. When I got to the house my mother yelled for him that I was outside so he ran out of the house and threatened to report me to the police. I got my revenge by cutting up his clothes and knifing his car.

Everyone bashes the single mom but in a lot of cases it is better to leave then have a toxic two parent household. The trauma from that outweighs the possible struggle.
