@johnnycortez46 hey, Johnny, we have been doing well, I hope you have as well. As far as throwing lures in the surf or wadefishing we use rods that are about 7'. You can go down to 6'6 or up to 7'6, there isn't really a wrong choice. Throw what feels good to you and something you can make several casts. For wadefishing in the bay I would try and get something around 6'6 but in the surf definitely something 7'6.

The ones in this video we had a few fish fries and it is all gone. Those 10 fish weighed on average 4-5lbs but once fileted we got a total of 15lbs of meat. Which after a few fish fries with 4-6 people it goes pretty quick. Sometimes we give fish away to family and sometimes we'll keep a Sheepshead or 2 for shark bait. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, Michael! These were definitely some solid Sheepshead, I think the smallest Sheepshead we caught this day was 16.5" and we let that one go.

We've seen way too many pier nets get absolutely destroyed by trying to pick up Kingfish, their teeth are so sharp they will cut the net up and fall through.

That's a good idea, I haven't done much bay fishing, been focusing on jetty fishing the past few months and it has been rough to say the least.

5 30" Trout is insane, I've seen the pictures of the stringers they used to catch back in the day. We probably won't see any legal stringers like that any time soon.

We've had this cart for over 20 years, I can't remember when our dad got it from.

I've seen it done on the Tuna they catch in Japan. We usually prefer letting the fish go to sleep in a nice cold ice bath.

Overkill? In Texas we are allowed 5 Sheepshead per person per day. If this makes you upset then you should be worried about an older gentleman from Missouri that comes down in the Winter and fishes Port A. He strictly fishes for Sheepshead 5 days a week, he catches and keeps his limit every single day over the course of 3 or so months. That's about 300 Sheepshead, now that would really be cause for concern.

It can definitely be a great place to fish at times, but it can get a bit crowded when the fish are stacked up.

The ones we wear you do. Korkers also sells one that goes over any other shoe or boot, it's called an over shoe and is a bit more affordable.
