Informative! Do you know what you might do differently if you found yourself making another attempt?

Indeed, I would love to reepat the process with sepiolite and indigo from Indigofera suffruticosa. Unfortunately, these materials are not available in my region. The final colour is directly related to the type of indigo pigment used.

Had read that lake pigments cant be made into a dye later for cotton but can for wool. Can paint with a lake pigment on cotton fabric? Is it very wash or light fast?

Although I love learning new skills I am high disturbed by the fact that you’re helping yourself to rocks from national parks - that’s illegal and it deprives the public of that which is protected for a reason.
@JyotsnaPippalАй бұрын
I appreciate your concern, but I want to clarify that I always abide by the rules. Your assumption about me taking rocks from national parks with restrictions is inaccurate. It's essential not to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask, but please refrain from making baseless comments.thank you

Hi Jyotsna, How did you make the Blue ochre/Vivianite ... did you order pigment for that or grind it down yourself ? Thanks - Beautiful video as always

Thank you. I bought the pigment a few years ago from Kremer Pigmente. It is not very easy to find Blue vivianite at least not in Austria.

I cant tell you how much I enjoyed watching this video and many others. I am changing and evolving so much after a huge life change. My partner died tragically in my arms while I slept. I wanted to leave this earth - but after so much change, I have come to where I am today.I am SO drawn to your process and story. I live on a river and am constantly collecting things and not always sure why or what to do with them. We hike daily - as we live in an area of a wildlife preserve. I feel like I have finally found what I have unknowingly been searching for. I LOVE watercolor and have been painting for years. Thank you for sharing your story and for showing up in my world.

It's incredibly inspiring to hear that you've found solace and transformation through the changes in your life. The connection you feel to my process and story warms my heart, and I'm honoured to be a small part of your world. With heartfelt gratitude, Jyotsna

Thanks for sharing what can be done with just three natural primaries! Do you ever work with natural pigments as gouache? If so, how does it compare in saturation?
@JyotsnaPippal4 ай бұрын
I haven't delved deeply into it yet, as there are numerous variables to consider, making it necessary for an extensive experimentation process. I am gradually working my way towards it.
