I’ve had this tree in my yard it grows nicely and produces the beautiful purple long flowers but I would like the tree to grow taller Right now it’s about 5 feet tall Thank you! J

It is just a slow growing tree. I made this video 5 years ago and this tree is 2 feet taller. Mine gets shaded so that may be why. I noticed ones at my parks at work that get full sun and they grow quite faster. Fertilizer in the spring will help.(16-6-8 or similar)

Yes. For mulching small branches and vines. I use the mulch on top of the soil to hold in moisture better and keep the soil temperature down. Thanks for the comment. snowjoe.com

Either typical spur pruning or cane pruning depending on the variety. This variety is Thompson seedless and it is cane pruned to around 10 buds.

Totally Agree of how ridiculous this is. Actors need to understand that when they accept work that isn’t’Union’ or looked at by a ‘lawyer’ that it messes it up for the rest of us. Good suggestion for some people. This is part of my workout and difficult to film without my tripod with me. I prefer hand saws, they don’t bounce around like sawzalls possibly can. Plus i get nice beefy forearms.

Plant it so the top of the rootball is level with the ground. Never deeper. And it is good to have a 2” layer of rock mulch or organic mulch over the top of the soil.

Should not be a problem. Without seeing your tree I can’t get into specifics about your detailed trimming. I would check for dead and crossing branches first and see if that thins it out. Avoid doing ‘topping’ cuts. Standard practice is to not take more than 15% off the tree. Best of luck. If you can share a phpto or video I might get a better idea for you. If you are in the Las Vegas Nevada area , I do house calls.

Hello, I would like to ask you, I've gotten the Rose of Jericho for some years now, and the first I opened it, the leaves turned green. Since then, however, anytime I open it, the leaves are brown. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately it may possibly be dead. I had one before this plant in the video and it stopped turning green also and it wasn’t fluffy or furn-like as it used to be. It is deceiving because even the dead ones will spread out when watered. I would need to see a picture of it to give a more accurate analysis. I have even heard of some new plants out of the package being dead on arrival. Best of luck with it. Thank you for watching and commenting.
