Yeeeah. I guess they were thinking they’d get out ahead of it, but that would have been very optimistic in terms of a production cycle such as this.

Just to preface, *I am not officially affiliated with Reaper Miniatures.* With that out of the way, here's how you make your pledge(s) for this campaign: 1a. If you backed the Kickstarter Campaign, but never visited the Pledge Manager, check your email (the one you used with Kickstarter) for a message from "[email protected]" that includes "Please claim your [$$$] pledge at the Bones 6 pledge manager using the URL below." The URL will look like this: "b6.reapermini.com/claim/[this part will just be a random series of letters and numbers]" Follow the steps on screen and create an account with the email you used during the Kickstarter. 1b. If you've already done the previous step, simply go to b6.reapermini.com/ <-- This is the Pledge Manager. 1c. If you never backed the Kickstarter, simply go to b6.reapermini.com/ and create an account with a reliable email. 2. Sign in and look to the top of the page. You should see your email here, and a dollar amount next to "Pledge Remains". _If you still have unspent Kickstarter credits, this is where they will appear. If you never backed during Kickstarter or used the credits already, this should show $0.00._ 3. Also at the top you will see "Settings" click here and scroll down to "Update Address Shipping Info" and submit where you want your items shipped to. _Make sure to select somewhere you know you will reliably be able to receive items several months from now and keep in mind that the order may come in a large box._ 4. Once you have entered your shipping information, hit "Update Address" at the bottom of the page. You can now click on the Bones VI icon at the top left of the page to go back to the main page. 5. Now that you are back on the main page, scroll down the page and select whatever rewards you would like to receive by clicking on the red plus symbol under each product. You can order a maximum of 10 for each listing, but otherwise you can select however much you'd like. _Just remember, if you have credit in the Pledge Manager it will only exist IN the Pledge Manager. That money is spent. You _*_can_*_ save it to pay for shipping down the line if you'd like, but you can also just pay that all later and use the credits now. Just know that if the credits you leave are more than what shipping will eventually cost, whatever extra is left will not be returned to you...so don't leave too too much if you plan on saving some credits for shipping._ 6. Once you have selected everything you would like to receive, on the righthand side you should see a list reading "Your Reward Selections" that tallies up everything you've added and shows costs associated. 7. Click "Checkout" once you are finished making selections. 8. This will take you to a new page where you can review your order under "Selection Summary" and next to that confirm your shipping address under "Ship To:" 9. Verify the shipping address and the items you have selected and check the box next to "I understand that this order doesn't include shipping charges and local sales tax, and I will be contacted closer to the time the project will ship to pay for the shipping charges and sales tax associated with my rewards." _This is true, you will be contacted to pay for shipping/etc later and must pay it within that specified time to receive your items. This time has not been currently set._ 10. Select one of the blue boxes at the bottom of the page, either "Pay with Paypal" or "Pay with Credit Card" depending on which method you wish to use. _The credit card option also works with debit cards._ 11. You will now be taken to a new page where you will simply enter your information and pay. 12. Once you've paid, you should receive another email from "[email protected]" with a receipt for your order. You may also check your order(s) by returning to the Pledge Manager and selecting "Order History" at the top of the page. _The top of this list simply shows what you have ordered, and below that is a list of each order you have made with a number assigned to each. If you make multiple orders, you can see each order here with each individual transaction listed._ 13. At this point, your order is complete and you simply need wait for Reaper to calculate the Shipping Cost, etc. Once they have done that, they will email you letting you know what you owe. Shipping costs have not been calculated and shared at this time for any backer at this time. We will all start receiving these emails later next year. I'll post something on this channel once I start seeing they are sending those emails out to folks, but just keep an eye on your email for further correspondence from Reaper. And with that, you're done for now. You can make as many orders as you like, but today (12/31/2023) is the last day the Pledge Manager is open for creating new orders. I would add anything else you need as soon as possible. After today, the Pledge Manager will simply be an archive of your orders until such time that Reaper will reach out for Shipping Payment, etc.

Those minis freak me out too. They combine multiple phobias into one. I don’t look forward to painting them 😅 I’m also feeling tempted to get a bundle, but I’m also not sure how the pricing per mini breaks down to. Are there bigger, more expensive models in there? Do you get more minis if you only get cheaper ones? Or is if the same amount no matter what and maybe you get lucky or maybe you don’t? Truly, it is a mystery….

It seems also like they designed this to be largely system agnostic when it comes to stats, etc, so that is nice to see!

I’m all-in! The free PDF seems really fun (and I plan to run it someday), and it’ll be nice to have stat blocks that match some of my odder Reaper minis. I haven’t been too impressed with WOTC’s latest releases, so I’m ready to give something new a try.

Ikr? There’s always another big one around the corner haha and that’s to say nothing of all the little ones from Midlam and the like!

I get it. Still, I’ve had some pretty great experiences with Kickstarter in the past and some “meh” ones. It really just depends. In general, I find campaigns which limit their scope to one very specific thing tend to be the most likely to deliver in a timely manner. I’ve never had issues with Andrew May’s campaigns, Midlam Miniatures, STL campaigns (not backing those any more for other reasons though), or any of the many 5e/Pathfinder Compatible PDF Products I’ve backed (a lot of those PDF ones were just $1-$10 as well). BAM isn’t scaring/pushing me off the platform, but this has been cause for being more wary for sure.

Part of the reason I waited to make this video (on top of just being very busy) is there really was so much info scattered about with very little verification behind it. It was a real proper mess. While things are still not all squared away, at least we have some actually organized posts now.

We may never know truly how things unraveled; but I will say, as much as I would love to see those minis on a reasonable timeframe, if they did prioritize paying employees I would be happy about that. Considering the layoffs, Idk if that was exactly how things happened; or, if it was, it doesn’t seem like it was a long enough term solution to suffice. Bummer situation all around.

That 1-2 year turn around isn’t unreasonable for projects of such scale, especially given the continuing global shipping situation, *_but_* that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t give us backers pause. Reaper and Archon have been fairly consistent. They also have longer turnaround, but I don’t really have any worries that they won’t deliver.

@@GrottoGoblin 1-2 years is a reasonable turn around, but it's the ones who say they'll take a year or 2 and two years later they are still working on stl files for the products let alone manufacturing they start looking suss. *Stormsunder I'm looking at you.* Sometimes companies project a quick delivery simply because it's their first foray into manufacturing and they have no idea how to predict an accurate timeline. It's when they do realize and remain silent, or give empty platitudes with no follow through that it begins harming the community. We as backers become cautious and less projects get funded or have fewer backers.

Yeah, I pretty much accept that my money is gone as soon as I hit that pledge button-even before the actual charge happens.

Yeah, I feel most sadness for those who were part of the layoffs, especially if any of those were on the art team because they were doing incredible work. Just unfortunate how corporate interference can mess all that up. Hopefully things can turn around for BAM and those folks no longer with them. For us backers, of all these campaigns, this is an unfortunate risk, but hopefully sometime next year we are just talking about the cool minis that arrived on our doorsteps…hopefully.

Indeed, lots of salt…still, even though it sounds to me like this potential buyer came in with a “we’ll take it from here”/“this is a done deal, don’t sweat it” attitude before pulling out….It doesn’t sound like they had parachute to catch them if that wasn’t the case. Now we’re using the backup parachute and let’s hope there’s no holes in that. Ultimately, yeah I would say it’s ok to remain optimistic, but at this point being expectant is only going to lead to disappointment. Since BAM wasn’t working from scratch, at least on the minis side, it is at least they *_can_* formulate a strategy from that foundation…whether it is *_successful_* is another question. 🫤

Same. It has been an unfortunate trend across all industries for the past few years since COVID went global. Whatever happened behind the scenes with this potential buyer that pulled out and all the rest of it is a story now all too common. Rough situation all around, but hopefully those folks, as you said, find jobs quick.

Archon doing everything in house really gives them so much control over the process, and that really translates into these campaigns. Reaper is heading that way too, but they’re not quite there yet.

I think Reapers price point is better, I like that their mini's come mostly in one piece as it makes it easier for me to put them on the table. Archon's modular dungeons are incredible and their minatures have soo much detail. Both have tremendous customer service and I'm so lucky to have found them both when I started my DnD journey.

Here, here! They are good eggs over there. Well, if you want to reserve you a spot in the pledge manager it’s only ~$2, BUT yes the next KS/late pledge for this one/etc leaves plenty of opportunities otherwise.

Fair enough. Always pledge responsibly 👍 You can always throw in that dollar to support the cause and/or reserve your spot later. Barring that, Archon Studios seems really great at KS turnaround since it’s all in house. The room sets, etc from previous campaigns are pretty much all available on their store right now, for instance. Were I not swimming in plastic myself, I would certainly be a regular of their online catalogue.

@@GrottoGoblin I will probably catch anything I feel like I missed on the next crowd funding campaign as an add on. They do deliver on these things pretty quickly.

Lol I went in all in on Bones 6 also several hundred $s and right after D&L encounters came out and a lot of the things I wanted badly in Bones 6 ended up popping up in Encounters and the Encounters minis were so nice and easy to build. Now I have a bunch of Ants in D&L Encounters that means I won't be getting extras from Bones 6.

I try not to always compare the two, especially since the materials and manufacturing processes are fairly different; however, I will say that the D&L5 Core Set started out at 99 miniatures (though there are several duplicate casts). The minimum tier that includes the core also includes stretch goals, an addon of your choice, and two PDFs...all for $98.00. For reference, the Bones 6 Core Set ended at ~$1.08 per mini for ~116 miniatures at $125.00. Both good value, but with D&L5, $98 for 99 minis + ~46 stretch goals and everything else? I meeeean...from a purely spending perspective, D&L5 has a pretty hard to beat value per mini.

I would imagine that big turtle will be the end of the Super Stretch goals, but for regular stretchgoals I feel they have a lot more wiggle room since they typically go on much smaller sprues. It has a bit difficult to keep up with this campaign since things have been updating and changing without or without official updates a lot, and I've not been home to check on it all. One thing I was unable to include in this video is that there is apparently another vote happening where our many legged horse friend will square be pinned against a very angry chicken with a stone cold stare...should we get to that, I'm not sure who will win. On the one hand, I like a comeback story... On the other hand, it's hard to beat a good cockatrice mini, and I feel like I'll probably use that more anyways--if at all. We shall see! I'll definitely be doing a recap once the dust has settled and I've had time to sweep a bit!

@The Goblin's Grotto Yesh they mentioned they would only do updates every other day. So they would u lock things and update the page but not say anything for up to 48 hours later. They have a live stream finale so I'm sure we'll see then.

@The Goblin's Grotto Yeah I woukd think with a 2 week long campaign they would have someone on staff or 3 shifts of work but basically the campaign page just goes dark every night and every morning waking up in the US to unlocks and page updates. Sorta sucks.
