Been watching you guys. You seem very comfortable behind the wheel of the ute. The 3 Tonne on the back and wind doesn't push the ute around at 90 to 100kmh ? Does the ute fill stable ?

@jamesjennings3440 our caravan tows sooo well behind the gwm. So it's more getting used to the wind and road conditions and trucks passing etc. When I first started everything scared me haha but I'm super used to it now. I've got stronger suspension in the ute so it's even better for towing. But out caravan has been built smart too. Really good for sway. My mate just bought a caravan and his sways around like crazy on his gwm. Not sure why. I think issue with van so he has to but sway bars for the hitch. Hope this information helps a bit 😀 My ute feels heaps stable!

Have you had any warranty work refused, for example ive heard by installing lift kits GWM can deny any warranty work related to suspension, how does this relate and what has been your experience? Anything that isn't a manufacturer option

@mitchellapps9865 I haven't had anything rejected as of yet. But I would understand anything directly related to something aftermarket on the car I guess I could accept that... but I'd still hate it hahaha But no everything I've had issues with has been fixed :) Cheers 🍻

Hi Guys, I have a 2022 Cannon L and it went into limp home mode for the first time in 18,000 km. You're video was perfect on how to do a manual burn and I was able to do it were I parked. I took about 20 minutes to complete and I also had the engine light and spanner symbol stay on afterwards. So i did the start and stop 3 times and the symbols cleared. May I ask the ATM of the campervan? The towing capacity of the Cannon seems to be 3t, not sure if it is capable of towing the campervan like yours

@leomayleomay hey mate, haha it's definitely capable! We've taken it around Australia and up the Cape and the Gibb haha. Tows amazing. But yes its a bit heavy for the car which is why we removed some accessories to try and get it legal. Also we pack very lightweight now :) Atm is 3200kg but we keep it loaded less. Tare weight is 2400kg Hope that helps 😀 Cheers

@frostychris89 Manual burns around once every 3 - 4 weeks because we always turn the car off when doing auto burns. Car only does 5 minute drives to school run and back these days haha When we were travelling we very rarely needed a manual burn. Maybe 2 in 50,000kms...

I cannot possibly add any more positives, because we have done much the same trip similar caravan etc and NEVER, ever had a problem driving my X-Cannon. So much so that I have now bought a new 2.4l Diesel Ultra Cannon Alpha.....WOW...what a beauty....!

Hey silly question. I’ve got 265/70 And lift kit 2inch. The. Adaptive cruise control. Doesn’t. Work aswell. Due to the height I’m thinking about going back down to 265 Doesn’t really pick up the front car.

@MrCooldudezx hey mate. So from what I was told by a head gwm tech was the adaptive cruise uses wheel speed for how fast to travel etc to adjust distance to other cars. As soon as you put bigger tyres the car wants to just crash into the car in front haha. It's soo annoying hey because I loved the adaptive cruise control but it's useless with the bigger tyres. They also told me that it can't be calibrated either. Hope this info helps somewhat. If you go back down to 265/65R18 it should fix this.... hopefully. I don't believe it's a height thing.... Hey Jordan a quick question mate do you reckon I need to upgrade my suspension on my Cannon to do the Gibb River road or do you think the factory suspension will suffice and are bash plates essential

@stevewainwright2474 hey mate! Some of the river crossings can be pretty deep. A lift would be handy to have. But heaps of stock Ute's go through. My mate just took his completely stock triton without a snorkle and was fine. A bash plate for the fuel filter is a great idea. Savage Tech do these. So I guess my answer is A stock Cannon will do the Gibb no problems 😀

On a side note we are going up with Lil and Bill who you would have met when you stayed at Willowbro0k farm stay caravan park in Gingin as they were the managers back then, Sadly the park is closed atm as its up for sale

@@wheelsbytheocean I had a snorkel put on by the guys that do savage over here and got a price of a 2 inch lift from them which was pretty reasonable at $2200 my biggest issue is a lift makes my underground parking at work difficult lol

@markvanree Hey, I've got no weight issue with the ute itself. It's the GCM as our Caravan we tow is 3000kg. I put too many accessories on the car and I had to try to make it lighter Hope that makes sense 😀

They recon the guys at opposite lock rockhampton wired up my light bar and UHF wrong so now I'm on the Gold Coast I've been trying to ring savage tech to see if they can wire it up properly for me but can't through to them there phone just rings out
