I love this. And I too started with the Common Planner at the beginning of the year but I realized I missed my hobonichi. I thought I would want the pages undated but for me I need the dated pages. So I picked up the hobonichi Spring and I am now at planner bliss. Back in my fav planner. I hope your year in the hobonichi will go well.

From the ink bottle collection, it's Sailor Blue Black (my absolute favorite Blue Black that I almost always have inked in at least one pen); In the ink sample collection, it's DeAtramentis Document Sepia Brown.

Love the Sterling inks Nn1 & N2 sizes, taking away the quote and the pages going to the edge of the notebook makes such a huge difference in terms of functional space! Using my hobo weeks as more of a checklist/mental health working great. My NI (standard TN) is more of a work focused planner with meeting notes, continuing education notes, etc. never thought a TN would be good for me but it’s perfect
@rachelonpaper2 ай бұрын
exactly! I was surprised by how much I love the N2 common planner, and I'm loving the standard TN size a lot too.

Thank you!! & yes! I debated a lot between the A5 common planner & hobonichi cousin. We’ll see how this year works out but I could definitely see myself switching to the Common Planner if the dated pages feel too restricting.

14:32 Just FYI. It’s bigger than the sneaker weeks but not the non-sneaker version. It’s the same size as the other weeks planners.
@rachelonpaper2 ай бұрын
that's a great clarification! though, the common planner paper size is still taller and wider than the standard hobonichi weeks planners since the hard covers are taller and wider than the paper (if that makes sense).

My main planner is a W222 A5 all in one. But I use it similarly on the dailies to your standard and love it. I have a standard EDC right now and use a Stalogy for my dailies paired with a monthly from SI and love that too. Your bujoplanner cover is gorgeous. I have the same in pocket size. 💗

I like your reading goals. I read a few of Toni Morrison books many many years ago. I am so grateful to have read her books when I was young and just starting adulthood. I never thought to read August Wilson but I did get to see a few of his plays. I do not read a lot but I also read Real Self Care and found it soothing and logical and realistic. Thank you very much for sharing your process and reasoning. It’s very helpful. You have a very lovely setup

I set up all my monthlies in all my planners ahead of time too at the beginning of the year. It allows me to write plans directly in them when they are scheduled and color code them to the minimal deco I have on the monthlies too. It’s an amazing benefit imho.

What a great setup! I love all of the trackers you've included and how it's bujo-adjacent but without the added pressure of making it look fancy. I actually am using my first Hobonichi planner this year as well, and I have the same weeks mega that you do! I was so excited when I ordered it in October at a clearanced price, and saw that I could start using it during the week of Thanksgiving; it was the perfect way to get used to the layout and try different spreads on the blank notes pages. I'm looking forward to your other setup videos!

Grid notebooks became my best friends since i figured out how to bujo in them (future log, projects, and before each month : the monthly spread, and all the weeklies fir this month after , and that's it, then whatever i need to write). I might use the printables for the monthlies and weeklies this year, which i might glue inside. It's very convenient, i don't depend on anybody, and i have all the paper i need for the rapid logging and notes, and whatever i need to write.

Tu mi aiuti in tutto ciò. Ti ringrazio giovane y.t. Apprendo ora che hai un bimbo. Un abbraccio a tutti e due!❤

I feel like we have a similar planner lineup. I’d rather have my memory keeping separate because I know next year I won’t care that I cleaned out the closet or washed my car - the planner part. I will only care about the memories. Currently I am memory keeping in the back of my Hobonichi Avec and will stick with this until 2024, and then I will have a separate notebook for family memory keeping. I really like how the lady from My Abiding Journal does a monthly recap for her memory keeping. For 2024, I’m switching from the Avec to a Wonderland222 A5 All-In-One planner. I am tired of the Hobonichi quotes. In August, I started a separate journal because I'm using the Avec journaling pages for memory keeping. Again, I doubt I’ll care what I was doing in my planner. I will use the back pages of the Wonderland222 for taking notes of my day so if I don’t have time to memory keep or journal, I can refer to my notes. I also have an A5 five year Hobonichi. I refer to my notes to fill this out about once a week.

How wide are the columns in the weekly spread?
@rachelonpaper9 ай бұрын
Just measured it & it's a hair wider than 1 and 1/8th an inch wide. I'd recommend watching @sterlingink's youtube videos-- she compares the width of the B6 common planner to other planners with similar vertical layouts (e.g., the cousin, the wonderland 222, etc.)

Love to see your beautiful planners❤ i am the biggest fan of your handwriting too💕 i am always thinking about new things to try out😆 but when I think it through I always go back to same😬 then the new experiments come as journals that i don’t commit as much but I still get to play and sense how it is🤣 so, I will keep using same (hobonichi weeks and tns) next year, but probably will have a ton on the background just for fun😇
