I know it's weird but watching the instruments be destroyed, made me incredibly sad. All I could think about was when they were new and how much they had to have been loved. The music that must hahave ran thru them. To end up like that...

I am curious. Did you upscale this from the bonus videos from the double disc edition of The Reminder?

i used a DVD-quality version from a VJ pool. you can see the pool's faint watermark in the lower right-hand corner of the video. VJ pools were subscription services that sent monthly batches of music videos out on DVD to clubs and bars.

I was around 9 or 10 when this video came out. Brings back wonderful memories.

The analogy couldn’t be more clear. What they’re saying, what they’re trying to um… demonstrate… is… WTH are they trying to say? lol I think actually the little one represents a new generation destroying the old generation of music to make way for what’s new.

Considering the number of albums I own and listened to back in the day, I have never seen an Art of Noise video except for the Max Headroom one. 🤯

All the nightmare predictions and it turns out only Max Headroom failed to survive Y2K. I mean even the Cleveland Browns made it to the other side. And today every time I see biden in his aviators, I fondly remember Max Headroom struggling to speak a coherent sentence

I saw this when it came out in 1994 and thirty years on, it still has that haunting and mesmerising effect in 2024! The rolling of the glass balls, those twirling blue shapes, the two guys in medieval costumes and the eerie synth keyboard sounds, all combine to make this an Orb classic !!
