Why in the world wouldn't you "want" to do a video to help other people? Rational adults can tell the difference b/t a Karen and a video like this. Please give us more credit than you seem to want to and thanks for the video.

Wouldn’t your slides out be more for the high winds to catch like a sail? I’m on the NE side of Houston with the possible high winds of Hurricane Beryl coming. Don’t think I should let them out!

One thing I’d like to point out about hooking a camper to a truck would help if you had tension bars. I don’t know for sure but they mount to hit frame and will not allow the camper to roll like it would on a hitch ball

What good are chocks going to be when the wind is hitting you broadside? In order for a camper to be safest during storms and high wind, there has to be a way to anchor it to the ground.
@TravelsAboundАй бұрын
Well, in my mind, the tires would act as a pivot point for the camper in broadside winds. The chocks should help keep the tires from rolling... Should I no longer use wheel chocks? Do you anchor your camper to the ground at campgrounds when you experience strong storms? How long are the anchors you use, and what kind of straps? How many do you use per side, and what kind of weight does it add to your camper when traveling? Are the campgrounds ok with you driving stakes into the ground in their campsites?

I had the same problem with michelin tires. MICHELIN said it is okay to have those crack. They reimburse me the thread left that was left on tires and bought new tires. They will honor their satisfaction policy but the crack is okay to them.

DON’T run your generator. There isn’t any reason to run a generator with today’s technology. Update your rig. Your need for a generator is not my problem. If you need all the comforts of home,.. don’t leave home. I don’t want to listen to your noise pollution, be it a generator, be it a big screen, be it your surround a sound. All this urban junk invades my quiet enjoyment of nature.

Great video and super helpful! Personally I love HomeFi and am constantly using it as a full time RVer that has to work remotely. It has been the best and most reliable option i've tried so far.

Homefi customer service has been crap. Zen desk powered and by appointment. Obviously a reseller of refurbished Solis device. Access via Solis app sometimes they help other times act like they can't. After had cross words with a chris at homefi, service has spiraled down and have to call after every shutdown if device to connect to a tower. My rant on Homefi. Used to love it and had it year and half

I had one of those Ryobi impacts, junk. Wouldn't take the lugs off of my motorhome. Went and bought a DeWalt, awesome. I'll never buy a Ryobi tool again. The Ryobi said it had a 200ftlb torque. The lugs were torqued to 140ftlb. The DeWalt is 375ftlb. Both cordless.

Greetings. Thanks for your experiences. I think additional information that would be helpful. Generally what is your source of power? If you primarily camp off grid, you'll be more likely to campbin open spaces, and therefore starlink might still be an option. Also, I think it's important for viewers to understand that there is never a one solution fits all cases. So redundancy is always best: especially since you are mobile nomads. Best.

Love this model. Would love to see a tankless hot water heater, rear cargo door, spray port near the kitchen, corner medicine cabinet, curved shower rod, spray faucet at the kitchen sink and those narrow two burner cooktops to allow for more counter space. Also, not too crazy about the new dark blue interior. Would like to just see something more neutral.

My 2005 prowler has a wooden frame built on a metal frame, this was so they could install the water lines in the wooden frame. I have a damaged line rotting the back of the bottom of my trailer now. Cast iron 1/4 inch metal frame until you hit the front.

I bought a new single axle travel trailer in 2019 with 14" endurance tires dated late 2018. After 10- 12k miles best honest guess, one tire has scary severe cracking around diameter between the outside treads. Looks like it could come apart anytime. The other tire is fine. The good part is both have minimal tire wear. Changing them out today.
@burkepete1102 ай бұрын
Some things can't be fixed. RV's are being built now that can't hold up to buyer expectations for regular highway travel. They build to a price point knowing well that these weak boxes will fall apart if subjected to even moderate highway use.
