When you realize sound engineers in 1976 could record drums better than the R40 crew. And when 1976 Slingerland drums sounded much better than any R30 or R40 DWs.

I wished they had played Something For Nothing instead of Anthem. There is no live footage of SFN as far as I know and there is footage of Anthem from some of the last concert tours.

People say mimicry is a sign that you’re respected. Geddys voice cannot be replicated. So cool to hear him live when his voice is as strong as ever. Peart is the best drummer to ever live. Alex is the king of clean distortion. This band will and can never be replicated.

The pacing, interplay, timing and “all being on the same page (STAGE!)” were on display early on! This was apparent to me with my first exposure being All the World’s a Stage (sic?), the live album recommended to me in 1976(?) by a high school classmate who loved music and later became a DJ, but who was not himself a fan of RUSH. I was captivated by the drumming, the passion of the only three players, and the “forward” presentation which resonated with my also being on the outside of mass acceptance. My belief is that RUSH spoke to many tens of thousands of souls who found their validated voice in the lyrics and drive of this truly terrific trio!!

To be 43 in 2024, knowing I have years to still listen to Rush and get to know them more, blesses my heart ❤️ … I wish their was new music this good… I’d go ti every rush concert!!!! 🎉❤
