Greetings, this message is sent in love. Who was Christ addressing (talking to) in Luke 21? Us? People living on the planet today? Not even close. We can't remove Christ and the people he was preaching to, almost 2,000 years ago, and replace him and them with us today, as if he was talking to us today. This takes the words of Christ and the message preached to a specific first century world and reapplies it to any time frame that a man deems applicable; this is called perverting the scriptures and lying. Peter quotes Joel and makes it very, crystal clear, that he is living in the "last days". If Peter was living in the "last days", then how can anyone today say they are living in Peter's Day? It is impossible. What was Peter's definition of the "last days"? He states that his information comes from the prophets. Paul says the exact same thing; that his information comes from Moses, the law and the prophets. Thus, if a person wants to know their (Peter & Paul) definition of the "last days" they have to read Moses, the law and the prophets. If a person uses any other definition outside of what Moses, the law and the prophets define as the "last days" they are perverting the scriptures and teaching a different gospel message. Does Moses talk about the "latter days"? Yes His song is being sung in Revelation 15. It is about the latter days and vengeance. The same vengeance that Christ mentions in Luke 21:22 Where do you think Christ got his doctrine on the "last days"? Correct, the exact same place that Peter and Paul go their doctrine on the "last/latter days". Christ said: John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? What was Moses responsible for? Administering the covenant/law. He was the one on Mt. Sinai receiving the commandments of the law/covenant. What is he talking about ending in his song? (Deuteronomy 32) The end of that covenant. This is what ends. There is not one (1) scripture in the entire bible that teaches the world κόσμος (kosmos) ends, not one (1). This is a man-made doctrine. Christ said the temple would be destroyed; this ended the covenant/law; no temple, no more administration of the law. You are wrong about the Restainer! The Restrainer is the Spirit of Might, which is He Who holds that which has not yet come. The One that moves the Restrainer is in Revelatuon 10, the Angel of Yahushuah Hamashiach holding the Book now without seals showing He has Authority to move the Restrainer, which He cries outloud as a lion which is authority to move the Spirit of Might Who is He that holds that which has not yet come. The 7 Spirits or Thunders utter their voices in respond to the command showing it has been obeyed. Then Yahushuah's Angel holds up His hand to heaven abd swears to Yahushuah Himself that there is no more time or delay, because He just removed the Restrainer the Spirit of Might. In every chapter Paul/Silvanus & Timotheus (authors) tell the church members that Christ is coming, in their lifetime, six (6) times in chapters 1:10, 2:19,3:13,4:15-16,5:23, please read. If you received a letter telling "you" that the Lord was coming in your lifetime, 6 times, what would you believe? Exactly. When did Christ say he would return and fulfill the law? Matt 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. In verse 14 Paul is telling them that God will also gather them, the ones who have already died physically. If you die a believer, where do you go to reside? Heaven This is your final abode. Where does Abraham, Isaac and Jacob live? Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: Acts 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Almost all of the prophets talked about the "last/latter" days, this is where the New Testament writers get their doctrine. The last days are defined as the "last days" of their covenant. The saints in heaven are not leaving their abode; they are simply included in the "gathering", which is the resurrection/restitution Paul preached. In verse 15 Paul tells this church, that they were going to "be alive", breathing, when the Lord returned. And obviously they would not precede, go before, the saints who physically died and were already in heaven. The gathering/resurrection/restitution was for all things in heaven and earth. Verse 16 the dead in Christ (a believer who physically died and is now residing in heaven) will be resurrected/gathered first. Why? Christ was sent from heaven by his Father. If you live in heaven, then you obviously will participate in order first. Verse 17 then we which are alive and remain, we (these are breathing Thessalonian church members) Paul told "them" that they would see the coming of the Christ, 6 times in this letter. To "meet" the Lord, this word meet is apantesis. What does this word infer to a first century person? This word is used for a formal meeting of a dignitary. Everyone in antiquity knew this word meant that a dignitary was coming to your city. They knew this meant that you would send out a welcoming party and usher that dignitary into your city, where they would remain. It never refers to someone coming to your city to get you and take you to a different location. The second coming/resurrection/revelation that Paul preached has been accomplished by Christ. Paul tells us in Acts that his doctrine on the resurrection/revelation comes from Moses, the law and prophets. The song of Moses is sung in Rev 15 about the old covenant ending, it did, at the destruction of the temple, the "last day". We are living under the new covenant, within the New Jerusalem in the new heavens and earth, prophesied by Isaiah 64 - 66 and confirmed in Hebrews 8 - 10, which lasts forever.
