Fishing kayaks are typically bigger and most are optimized for a motor/s. Tournaments around my area are even allowing 2 motors now. There’s plenty of fishing kayaks around the same size, some even bigger. Like most things nowadays, it will create a division amoungst a group, and require yet another category. Also creates the need for a new label - maybe Kaboat or Boyak? I personally feel like if you cant pick it up and carry it to the water, it probably should be called something other than kayak. Great question! Curious to see the answers.

Had a boat. Sold it. Got 2 kayaks now. One is a river boat. One is a lake/river boat. I'll never go back. The used covid kayaks are gone. Good deals happened last fall/winter. In your world, kayak fishing is dying. In my world its growing. Weird huh.

Each to their own. However comparing kayaks to a boat is not apples to apples. I believe a boat has its place and a kayak has its place. The lakes I fish is hp restricted or electric only. You could have the best of the bass boat and it does no good. Yes , u may find a deal on a nice boat. Keep in mind kayaks have increased in price but so has everything else. Also u show one of the most expensive kayaks on the market. You can buy a pwr 129 with a motor and battery for less than the pro angler. Guess it all depends on one’s situation.

Both kayak and boat bass fishing are down cause of inflation and all the new electronics its hard to compete. Bass fishing is turning into a rich mans compatition or a man in debt. Owning a boat cost 100% more than a kayak but with a boat your whole family can enjoy the day.

Living in an apartment, unfortunately a kayak is all I can get. Would much rather get a used boat for slightly more money, but storing it somewhere for $200+ /month isn't reasonable. And I completely agree that it's on a downward trend with how expensive and big kayaks are getting now.

I’ve tried to get some people I know interested in kayak fishing around here in Austin, TX. No luck. I just broke the bank adding xi3 and Garmin 93. Motor because I’m tired of fighting the wind. The Slayer Max can be a sail boat lol. Need the Garmin to up my offshore game. I do believe a lot of the COVID kayakers have dropped out now.

Kayak fishing is not for everyone.

I definitely think that kayaking and kayak fishing were trending during and just after Covid. A lot of people that jumped on the kayak train, have bailed. The challenge of keeping boat position can be very frustrating. For the hard core fisherman this could definitely be a deal breaker. Your range is also limited by how far you want to paddle. Then to extend your range you spend a fortune to upgrade to pedal or power. And you really break the bank with accessories!😢 I personally just fish to get outdoors. If the fish ain't biting, or the conditions are unfavorable for fishing - I put down the poles and enjoy a good paddle. Whatever style (bank, kayak, Jon boat, bass boat), it has to be about enjoying your time on the water. Like the thought provoking video! Cool thumbnail!

I recently went to Cabela’s to go purchase a whopper plopper. The whopper name and price was way more expensive then the competition. I grabbed a couple of the rebel choppers and they flat out catch fish. It’s now my go to lure. My own personal experience, black at night and Frog in the early morning. I found a white one on a tree and a silver shad and for some reason haven’t had any luck on those colors. Sticking with black as my first color of choice.

I had received the NW Sidekick with the wide sand tires. T ordered the Ctug but those are much narrower * & too small on the hub.

Great idea, just used it, worked perfect. I am having different issue, on landing it is difficult for me to reinstall the wheels. I have sand tires which are needed to transport. It literally feels like trying to push a balloon down into the water to git the wheel into the track. Pls advise!! Thanks.

I am 5'11, 225 pounds. I have had good luck with the Saucony Tempus. I need stability, and I like how they did it with this shoe. It's the same foam in the Speed 4, so it is cushy. I have run several half marathons in them. I will admit that I do compress the foam a little faster than I would like, but they are now about half price since the second gen is coming out soon. It is supposed to be just an upper update. I can get 150 miles out of them. I was saving them for speed workouts and race days, but now with the huge price drop I bought two more pairs and run in them exclusively.

It is a good point but might want to consider installing a lanyard to the landing gears in case you drop one of them in the water.

Does anyone notice the floor flexing allot on their outlaw when they stand in it? I just bought one and it feels like there is excessive flex in the floor when i stand in it compared to my old town 106

Wise words my friend. Thanks for sharing! My dad was a hard working, honest, man of his word, and a good friend. He grew up in a different generation and some of his beliefs were dated. I have tried to build on that, and work hard daily at adapting my parenting. NB fresh foam x more v4 are solid daily trainer at 5'10/215. I know it's a more cushioned recovery run/long easy run shoe for lighter runners. But at 215 it's a daily trainer for me

That's what I do with the ole Outdoor Navigator channel - a little bit of everything, and ALL of what I want. It provides me another hobby and gives me a chance to make something of my own, and a sense of accomplishing something (I don't get that at work). Interested in seeing the fitness stuff. It's always good when you are doing something awesome - as you say.

After having ctugs wheels installed for a while , how are they holding up ?

I bought 3 dozen minnows, Dead when i opened the bucket when i got home. There was only a few survivors. I bought them to release into a pond, ultimately for fish food, but i wanted them to have a fighting Chance. Any tips on keeping them alive during transportation? What did i do wrong?

Man i had to buy the choppo cause they didn't have it in store, but ill get a wopper later tho
