I live in Africa now.. unemployed people can cook stuff at home and sell it on the street. You can't do that in the UK. Most poor people pay zero income tax.. all informal work. Farmers sell you stuff directly, that they farmed. The burocracy and taxes that come with modern society confines people so much. Indeed now in the UK it's often untrained people operating a computer data base that controls your life "computer says no" style.

Thank you Steve Hughes for posting this entire show. For the longest time, all that was available from you were short appearances at comedy festivals, and shorts from full shows. So it's great having a full performance, especially as being in the states, I'll probably never get to see you live. I sincerely hope you post more full performances of yours, here on your channel. I'm a tremendous fan. I discovered you when trying to find someone to fill the gap left by Bill Hicks, and then George Carlin. I wish there were more comedians like the three of you.
