Depends on the British accent

Difference is, we can go 10 miles up the road and our dialect/accent has changed 4 times. America can go 2 days and it's still the same! Not all of us talk the Kings English either.

It's very very varied. Speaking as an Irish person with friends and family in London, Sheffield and Northern Ireland. There are parts in the North where it's like a whole different language. In Ireland of someone wants you to move back they will say you move back in Northern Ireland people will say get you back. Alot of sentences are like this.

@LG-ht1zo5 сағат бұрын
This is an English accent. If by British you mean English. Scots roll their rr’s tae fuck
@yodaami5 сағат бұрын
I think you are pronouncing rs. Think about ca and car, definitely a sound after the ca. it might not sound like a pan American r but it is an r, just softer.

It drives me nuts when Americans say British English accent. No such thing. They are just referring to ONE of many accents in Britain in this case south east England where they mainly speak English with that accent, but he is emulating more middle class or upper class accent. English is English in England - surprise surprise as we are English, but he is wrong about this being the 'standard' accent, it's just the posher accent of one area.
@jgreen58207 сағат бұрын
You are only teaching the south east English accent. There is no such thing as British English, or standard British English. it just isn't a thing. There are dozens of accents in Britain, not least Scottish and Welsh. South West England, midlands England and north east England all have very, very different accents to the sounds you are teaching. So say South East English if you want, but it is not 'British' English.

Incorrect. Scots are British and one of this applies to them.

Exactly. Welsh also. He is only doing one of many, many accents in Britain.
