I just had me second son via home-birth in water and it was incredible. My first attempt at homebirth ended with a transfer due to me needing help via epidural. Both experiences I would label positive however my homebirth feels like such a gift from God this time around. His plan was definitely involving both experiences as a whole but I’m so grateful I was able to be at home this time un medicated. Congratulations

Yea we downsized from a huge three bedroom house (idk how many sq ft) to a two bedroom. We can save more and achieve goals (family fun) quicker 💯 ive noticed a change in our children as well. Happier. Excited around the clock. Now that our rooms are much closer they are more content. Who knew? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think that is why a smaller home is beneficial. So once kids are napping then cleaning or other stuff can done. I think for stay home moms that have bigger homes it is so much more to do on top of.cooking and taking care of your kids. Some can afford a cleaner but when our kids were young we could not afford a cleaner.

We depend on our garden a lot in these times to avoid processed foods. We don’t eat fast food or junk food. Our snacks are yogurt, berries, nuts and locally made cheeses and meat sticks. It takes some work but the benefits are well worth it.

Here in northwest Indiana, We had a horrible storm come through on Monday with straight line winds. We were without power for almost 12 hours. (Nothing compared to Texas!) There were trees down and one of the roads in our subdivision was closed due to a tree across it. The man from the county working on clearing the road told my husband there were 130 trees down and he had worked 17 hours the day before. I had an appointment at the hospital and they were without power, so got sent to another office across town. It was hot and humid, but last night dropped into the 70’s. It’s been a very unusual summer for us with a lot of rain. I will definitely be trying your recipe for the chocolate banana bread.

So fun that we live in a similar area with a similar climate!

We raised our children in a 950 sq ft home out of necessity. Mom, dad 3 kids. Our oldest was 18 when we moved to a home that is about 1600 sq ft. Our 950 home was way too small. Your children grow and they need more space. When there cousins came to visit, we had no room for their luggage so it basically stayed in the entry way. When I wanted to sew I had to use both the kitchen and living room, having fabric, sewing machines etc all over the place. It truly isn’t ideal. Tiny home people like to romanticize it but it’s anything but. Your child only get bigger and you run out of space.

Our town and area flooded from a river a few weeks ago.. crazy how much damage water can do. Grateful it didn’t get to our house but did get on our acreage. No big deal though. Feel so bad for everyone who got water in their basements and first floors 😢

I'm so sorry you had flooding in your basement. ❤ Back in 2013, we too had an unusually heavy rain and our basement took on a 1/2 inch of water. It soaked the carpet and we did lose many items. It was a mess! But nothing major happened (the furnace, etc was all fine!) So we thanked God for that favor ❤
