This screams, "i wasnt around when the halo cultural revolution started but my parents were" kind of energy. Aka, you didnt grow up with what made Halo so important in the gaming sphere and your only comparison is what was released from when youve been around. It makes sense. But understand that Halo infinite is bottom of the barrel when it comes to halo. PS, take the playstation contriller out of the thumbnail lol. A video about a Halo gane should probably have a Xbox controller. Just saying.

Infinite's campaign missions are the worst in the franchise which is saying something because they are pretty bad in Halo 5 as well. At this point praise for this abomination just suggests someone isn't really into the original Halo games, or at the very least doesn't understand why they are great.

I couldn't even push through the campaign with a mate, and co-op usually makes everything fun... it's dreadfully dull. -The open-world is grindy and generic in formula. -It visually looks grotesque, as any large expanse of area looks laughably bad. -The comedy is too forced. -The combat is average and stale. -The mission designs are totally forgettable and basic. -The vehicle physics are ass and most of the terrain doesn't even account for it? -I don't find the grappling hook to be particularly satisfying. -There's no life to this environment whatsoever... outside of birds which constantly get stuck on the environment. I can't even comment on the story because I didn't care. There's very little redeemable about Infinite's campaign. 5:00 there's a reason for that. Aiming is irrelevant and unnecessary for most guns. 6:20 this has always been a primary feature in Halo.

The only thing I don't like about Infinite is how it feels with a controller, the aim-assist for me almost feels absent and and turning around feels stiff. If it was like on MCC then I would've played it more.

It’s the best thing 343 has put out, and the grapple for campaign is great fun. With that said - The environments and objectives are incredibly repetitive which is the worst thing. Everything about the atmosphere feels Halo except the feeling of wonder traveling around the Galaxy, and encountering wildly diverse locales. Halo CE recycled almost every level but still managed to place us on at least 5-6 completely different feeling locations..Halo infinite maybe has…3? Which are broadly recycled. Incorporating areas which felt totally unique would have been really nice. I thank them for finally getting back to an appropriate LOD for the feel. Just lacking in imaginative environments. It feels like nothing will compare to weird glowing pools on Keyes, or remember the feeling of being on high charity in “Gravemind” or discovering the ancient lost civilization that led to a religion on Delta Halo. Or even the eerie locations of the multilayer maps. They always felt engaging and unique in the first 3 games. That magic of environments has been lost since then in campaign and multiplayer. We need the art direction, and creativity that sparked the whole universe to begin with, along with that thematic ancient culture/ruin/religion meets alien/technology/ astronomy / futuristic. Halo feels like one of the greatest accomplishments of that since Star Wars and has lost it since the original Trilogy.
