They often have a long end and a short end. If you're buying from the same manufacturer, one of those will always be the one to cut next to the bag causing the loop to fall apart.

I worked as a server at a Thai restaurant in my early 20s for about 4 years and my palate was liberated from its bland American "meat and potatoes" grip with all Thai food but especially this sauce. I still keep it in my fridge as a 40 year old. I learned a lot from the cooks and would constantly watch them any chance I could. I am very grateful that job came into my life, and now I am a chef myself.

If I was ever limited to owning only two kitchen appliances it would definitely 👍 be a Rice Cooker with lid and an Electric Skillet with lid. Husband and I travel in our Motorcoach and our Conversion Van. Our Rice Cooker and Electric Skillet are our Go-To favorites.

Thanks for showing! How to best close the bag again though? I just opened a 20kg bag and I don't want any moths and insect to nom nom it instead of me...

That texture reminds me of rasgula, an Indian sweet made of milk which is soaked in sugar syrup. Wonder if this could be a vegan rasgula substitute... Though of course it might taste a bit beab-y maybe

Always so satisfying 😍 Many animal grain and feed bags have the same style, but with slightly larger yarn so each stitch gives a hefty **pop** as you unravel it. I could unzip bags all day 😅

i think the beet juice changes to orange (or rather a light brown) is due to it being cooked or heated for a long time. just like how if you overcook the beet itself, it loses its reddish tone and turns brownish. i think it would be better if you colour the soaking coconut milk, rather than colouring the rice before steaming.
