It showcases both real-time VDB and real-time simulations. Also, some simulations were cached into VDB to get better performance.

We don't plan to develop standalone compression software since there is no point in that. But we do have our mind on integrating it with other software like Houdini. This can help you save on storage, bandwidth, and rendering time.

This video shows the water simulation running on a pretty large landscape - how big can the Zibra water simulation get in Unity nowadays? I used Zibra Liquids for a project a couple years ago and it really struggled with larger scenes.

It all depends on your hardware. But the simulation in the video is not that big actually since the river is not that deep. On the middle GPU you usually can use max of 300x300x300 simulation resolution and 12 000 000 particles.

The largest scale effect was the smoke inside a building. How about larger than that? How about a foggy forest or a sandstorm?

You might be able to simulate large areas of smoke if you will have large voxels. But for fire you usually need bigger detalization and as a result smaller voxels. Also, you can have small simulation area and just move simulation volume with your character so you won't waste resources for computing smoke far from the camera.

Question: I have a desert scene, is it performant enough to do a sandstorm? How would you go about it? Can I designate an relatively small area and have that area move with the player? If not a sandstorm, could I simulate 2-3 swordsman shown in your video at once? I am running a 3090. When is the next sale by the way? ;) looks awesome, I want to buy.

If I make the container size more than 1, it doesn't change the occlusion size, the camera hides the water if it's not looking at the center of the water object

Looks like very simple easy-to-use plug-and-play wrapper for complex tool. I think it's good. But I want to see more examples of Smoke & Fire asset at least because it costs $125!!!! 😐😐I think there will be small amount of people who will be ready to buy an asset without enough trailers, demonstrations and reviews of it for $125. I would try it with 50% sale if it cost ~$40. So yeah, I really think that you should follow strategy of "Sirenix" publisher with their "Odin Inspector". Firstly they created an asset and made it cost cheap. As soon as the asset got a lot of good reviews, and it became battle-tested, they made it cost more money. The price is growing with the value of an asset. I think that more downloads with smaller price is better than less downloads with higher price

I missed the Sales because unity Asset Store doesn'allow more than 800 save later buy i was'n 't even able to Open my Browser to buy anything Tool them about 4 weeks to solve by deleting half of my Wish list so i could use the Asset Store again sadly IT was too late buy for me
