I’m afraid its dying , just slower than some others because of the affluent area , It was a great gathering place from the 70’s thru 2019 . Amazon and the Economy are killing off the Mall shopping America that was a part of our culture for decades !

I graduated 1965 from Paterson Central High School. My grandmothers house was right up the street on Liberty. I went to PS #5 right next to the stadium.

We used to go to that ShopRite for more than a decade sinxe we lived in Maywood. Now we go to the same Fairlawn ShopRite as you do living up rt 208 🙂 watching this brought back memories.

Thank you, Fred! I used to live on Edstan Drive. My Mom and I worked at Evans and my uncle owned a barbershop on Moonachie Rd. Redneck Rd (hardly no one calls it Avenue) used to be a lot more fun to drive on! It was winding and curvy! I drove 85mph on it once! The gates and fences weren't there until 2001 after 9-11. It was like a "lovers lane" over there. Thanks for the trip down "Memory Lane"!

Most of the street names were renamed for the local boys that went to Vietnam.

Years ago it used to be a BONDS. They had amazing milkshakes called Awful Awfuls!! Yummy! But I'm in FL and the Hot Grill is one of the first food places I'm making a beeline to when I go to NJ again!! ❤ That and the Allwood Diner❤
