This was obviously Debussy's answer to the German symphony.

I am in awe and in tears whenever I hear this piece. Seemingly so simple and yet so effective, so serene, so full of beauty. I have never been able to connect to God(s) nor to religion(s), but this piece does the miracle. It shows me that I have my God too : his name is J.S. Bach !

The point between the second and the third chapter brightens me up whenever I listen to it.

I am a huge admirer of Horowitz, but when it comes to Beethoven piano works, I prefer Brendel. He "owns" the music. Others sound like they're trying, but for me, Brendel's command is unparalleled.

Wow. I never knew Schiff's interpretation of the 3rd movement was this good..

Pollinis playing reminds me so much of Richters, very gracious to be able to hear this recording. R.I.P!

シベリウス交響曲第６番はなぜかマイナーです（なぜだ❓❗）が、私が全作曲家の全交響曲で最も愛する、極めて清澄清冽で神秘的で美しく儚な過ぎる名曲です。 個人的な想いで恐縮ですが…あまりに美しすぎて、私は、この曲だけは擬人化してしまい、まるで恋愛感情を抱いてしまうよう…。🥹 家族等の大切な人々やいくつかの生き甲斐等と並び、出会えただけで私の人生はとても有意義なものになったと言える、そんな曲なんです。 このラトル、とても素晴らしい演奏ですね！😊 私は、シベリウスの交響曲第６番第１楽章には、勢いのある清流を感じます。 初めの２分半（00:03）のゆっくりとしてやや物憂げで神秘的、聖歌のような清明さも持つ序奏部では、単体の清水の流れではなく、氷雪や森に覆われたフィンランドの大地全体を、あたかも上空からとても静かにゆっくり旋回し俯瞰しているマクロの視点のような（NHKの深夜「映像散歩」のような。）。 極めて清澄で透明な、美し過ぎる弦と木管のハーモニー…。冒頭のここ、全曲通しても特に澄み切って美し過ぎて神秘的、印象的で感動的…私はいつも涙を流さざるを得ません。🥹　 そして開始２分半（02:34）から一転してテンポが速くなり明るく始まるアレグロ。 ここ、とてもワクワクします。 ここから視点はぐぐっと一気にミクロに。 とても速い、極めて清冽で青く澄み切った急流の源流部。 ここから、陰を帯びたり（04:51）豪快に弾けたり（05:29）と途中で雰囲気を変えながら、急流として大自然の中をひたすら（05:14）勢いよく駆け抜ける清流。 徐々に水量を増し（06:08）、最後（06:50）は川幅が広がり悠々たる大河となって海に近づき…。 特徴は、大自然の中だけをひたすら流れ続けていき、周りに人気を一切感じないこと。 また、繰り返しますが、極めて清らかで勢いがあること。 …ただ、以上のような感想は他で聞いたことがなく、皆さんがそのように思われるかは分かりません…。 あ、序奏部については冬の日の葬列を思い浮かべる、アレグロは雪上をそりが勢いよく駆けていくようだという文章を、それぞれ別のどこかで読んだ記憶はあります。 私の抱く印象とは異なり、とても興味深い…。 皆さんは、どのようにお感じになりますか？ また、第２楽章（09:11）では静寂に包まれ暗く神秘的で妖精が漂うフィンランドの森の中の様子（13:14と15:10の和音が魅力的！）が、第３楽章（15:28）では雪嵐などフィンランドの厳しく荒々しい自然が、それぞれ描写されているように私は感じます。 そして最終第４楽章もまた神秘的で印象的（特に冒頭（19:17））、フィンランドの自然全体を振り返り再度俯瞰するとともに、それを愛し慈しむ人間の感情も初めて少し感じられるような気がします。 この楽章の最後（だいたい２分半（26:41））も第１楽章冒頭と同様、全曲の中でも大変印象的、哀愁漂い大変美しく、静かに儚く消えていく（29:03）…。 ここも極めて感動的…。🥹 なお、全曲通じて教会旋法が取り入れられており、神秘的な雰囲気を醸し出す一因になっているようですね。😊 …それにしても、あぁ、素晴らしい…。
