Hi there, I just gad the chance to watch this video as it was recommended for me, I followed the directions and it is not working at all. A lot of step missing in the explanation, unlike other videos I watched on your channel. My main concern is after I apply the mask, and click Option+click it will turn grayscale and as soon as I click anywhere else it will go back to full color. Also, in the video went directly to Level without indicating how to get there. I figured it out. However, it is creating another layer with a mask when I adjust the layer. Any insight will be helpful. Thank you!
@DTFSuperstoreКүн бұрын
Hi @LNK9094 So option clicking on a mask will enter mask edit mode, since we copied the image into the mask, it's going to just look like a grayscale version of the image. Clicking anywhere else will exit the Mask edit mode, the same is true for Photoshop. At the bottom left of the video you can see all the hotkeys I use during the process, I probably should have pointed that out verbally my bad! Command+L opens levels, or you can go to Image>Adjustments>Levels Hope that helps!!!

Hello, very great video and it was a lot of help. I did have a quick question. On some of my prints I get some cracking or minor flaking when I peel after pressing. Do you know off hand what could cause that? I adjusted the temp and time, time under cure, still kinda get the same issue. Printing on 100% cotton.

How is the color gamut of the DuPont ink? Will you be providing an ICC profile for it?
@DTFSuperstore7 күн бұрын
we can't provide an ICC profile as they are printer, ink, and film combination specific.

Would you consider selling the bootcamp in a recorded fashion? Maybe even where you have to log in to DTF University to watch? I want to purchase the camp, but September is a crazy time for us and I know no one including myself would have the time to sit still for 2 days during business hours while we are tackling the holiday rush.
@DTFSuperstore6 күн бұрын
We've thought about it and we're still trying to figure out if there is a way great way to do that. One of the things that makes our Bootcamps special is the interaction and individual help we can give to each attendees situation and equipment. Each Bootcamp is slightly different based on the people that attend.

100 pcs one face in 3 hours is not rentable, I make 100 pieces in 1h20~ taking my time with a 2-handle pneumatic heat press. At the time, in screen printing, it took around 2 hours to prepare 2 color screens, emulsion development, machine setting, and 1min~ per piece printed at the exit with a drying tunnel. DTF will remain the least expensive, the fastest and the quality can be said to be good over time.

Well I tried the same temp but I pressed the towel first to try to lay the fibers down then applied a photo dtf and it pressed fine....
@DTFSuperstore16 күн бұрын
Likely what will happen is those fiber are going to want to stand back up so it may be fine for a few washes but it's likely to start to deteriorate fairly quickly.

Great video! And thank you for posting. I'm having an issue with my DTF prints that maybe you could help me clear it. The WHITE base ink doesn't seem to cover the BLACK ink if I used all CYMK values. But when if use only a K value of 100, the WHITE covers it completely, but the BLACK looks faded as an outcome.

Wow, that is interesting, the way you isolated the watermelon and did the halftone differently than for the background, that is great help to know how, because the heaviness of the motif requirres different settings! Effortless? Easy? Plug and play? What a joke! Our DTF Mimaki TxF300-75 printer hasn’t worked since day one. We’ve had numerous technicians come to repair it, and countless parts have been replaced. Despite all this, it’s still not functioning. Avoid this printer at all costs! If you’re thinking about buying this, feel free to reach out to me for more details. I will be more than happy to help you give up this idea.
@brunoguedes55021 күн бұрын
Terrible printer. I bought the Tx300-75 from DTF Superstore; the printer didn't work from the beginning. There was an alignment issue and blurry images. Boards were replaced, tons of ink and film were wasted, and technicians visited us every other week to try to solve the problem. There's no problem-free DTF printer, and at least the Chinese printers don't cost the fortune I paid for the Mimaki. Buy three Chinese printers instead; it's a better deal.

This only works for black shirts you want to knock out the black, right? For white or other light color shirts how far do you tweak the levels in Photoshop and do you go back to your mask and fill in with white, the parts you don't want knocked out and just leave the edges?
