Thank you for sharing the video-it was a wonderful sound . I'm considering getting the same myself and have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1. Are there any aspects of the bike that you regret? 2. How do you decide what settings to choose on the ECU for better performance? 3. After tuning the ECU, does the bike's warranty remain valid? Thank you again.
@MChappysGarage7 күн бұрын
@@creed426 hey thanks for watching, to your first question no there is absolutely nothing I regret with this bike. It’s an amazing bike, quite comfortable for cruising around town and having some fun. As far as the ecu flash when you send the ecu off to the tuner you tell them which modifications you have in the bike if any and they do most of the adjustments on their end. The Ivan’s tune greatly improves the throttle response on the bike so it’s not as twitchy as the stock tune on the bike along with turning on the radiator fans earlier so the bike doesn’t run as warm and a bunch of other things. And yeah tuning the bike will void the warranty however I wasn’t too worried about that.

Bro, I timed the cold start and I stopped at 3:30. That is very long to warm up a nonexistent cat. My Zed will only return to normal idle with 2 bars on the temp gauge. I have the same setup like yours: Akra headers, stock can. I am not sure I want the Ivan flash after watching you because it still has high idles for very long time to warm up the cat. My GS only takes about 1 minutes to get up to operating temp and it has a huge 1200 cc boxer engine. Can a lower thermostat be used to let the coolant warm up faster?
@MChappysGarage10 күн бұрын
Every bike is a little different, it ramps up to the higher idle to get the motor warmed up before ripping on it. The gs has a completely different motor than this bike

I already have a T.S.T. industries Hyper Pack bundle on the way which cimes with thier integrated twilight/blinker, fender eliminator kit, front blinker kit etc... so looking to see what exhaust to get now. Michael, how is the exhaust sound when cruising? Is it so loud that you get a headache?
@MChappysGarage3 ай бұрын
I don't think it is too loud, that all depends on the person though. The tune actually made it sound deeper so its not as high pitched without the tune. It definitely drones on the highway though around 75-80mph

Nice video mate, what paddockstand do you use, i have scratches on the back frame due to the little bobbins ? I see a long bolt there with your stand, looks perfect! Greetz from belgium
@lancelemay69712 ай бұрын
Kawasaki recommends in the owners manual putting spools / bobbins on the swingarm only when in use. They say they can cause swingarm / muffler damage if left on the bike. I use the standard lift padded pins on a Pitbull stand (everything else is a toy in comparison). The standard lift pins work great with the Pitbull stand because of the way the swingarm is constructed. I butt the pins up to the circular point on the swingarm (where spools would thread in) and it just so happens a natural cavity exists here because there’s a welding bead a finger width behind that circular part of the swingarm. A perfect secure fit for the Pitbull pins - it’s solid as a rock and so easy to lift. If the swingarm were angled more steeply like some other bikes I wouldn’t use this method but the Z900RS swingarm is almost parallel to the ground.
