At 4:31 to 4:32 something went wrong. It looks like that third ramshot the bullet tumbled. There is an elongated hole in the plywood at about 3 inches high and inch or so left of the center tack at the top of the target.

I've seen as much as .040 run out. Some guns are better than others. HK hammer forged pistol barrels, like the P9S, are VERY good. Uzi barrels typically have .010 to .020. Most bolt action rifle barrels are the worst offenders.

Not enough to worry about in this case. Thanks for watching!

This is a very dangerous idea. I have threaded over 3000 barrels and very often the OD, which this locates on, is not concentric with the bore. YMMV.

This is by far one of the most ignorant things I've ever seen. You must turn the barrel and make the threads concentric to the bore. Or you're going to potentially destroy your suppressor. Not to mention that this is not a cost-effective solution. Just thread the damn barrel

Both shoot well cold. You need to test both in warm/hot conditions. There H1000 is less sensitive than Ramshot, which gets erratic, up to 134fps variation in 300 Win Mag.

Ohhhh noooo!! Please tell us you didn't do all this for real... 1) Don't shoot .22LR in a welded can, best way to ruin a $800 suppressor since you can't take it apart and clean all the lead and carbon out properly. 2) That's not the piston, it's just the piston housing. 3) Jerry rigging and bevelling a flash hider like that to make it work is just asking for a baffle strike. If you are going to do that on a .22, why not just get the proper direct thread mount? Why risk ruining an expensive can to save a couple bucks? 4) the correct caliber end cap absolutely does make a big difference. Shooting .22 through a .45 caliber cap... 🙄

@bradskis817 ай бұрын
@@tjdement8229 It's not about the sound. The hybrid is a welded can, you can't take it apart to clean it. That . 22 ammo is dirty as shit and deposits lead on the baffles inside. But hey, it's your suppressor, do what you want. But there's a reason Silencerco says to not run . 22LR through them, and there's a reason . 22LR suppressors are designed the way they are, to take apart and clean all the deposits out of them.

I came up with almost an identical prototype about 5 years ago as I did not want to modify or ruin antique rifles by threading there barrels so I made something just like this. Only difference was that I went with a 2 peice unlike your notch idea and it worked very well but the notch is way more practical. Thank you for this

Pretty good test and great video. That's pretty impressive, especially in a magnum sized cartridge, where it's at times hard to keep the SD & ES numbers low and consistent. That's a sweet looking and sweet shooting rifle you've got there. Can you tell a bit about it...make, model, barrel length, twist rate etc. Good stuff, keep the vids coming 👍✌

Custom rifle I had made in Nebraska. Used a 110 savage action, don’t remember barrel make but has a 1:9.5 right twist barrel. The gun builder also made the stock. Rifle is very heavy, but I only bench rest shoot with it.

I used a motorized rotary ball valve. I think it was 25 bucks on AMAZON & is 120vac. I have videos of mine on my page. I looked for the pumps like was suggested prior but wasn't sure whih one would pump the heavy burnt oils I have for waste. There are Solinoid valve that are continuous on but start at like 40 bucks plus. The Rotary ball valve works but I wanted a spring close version in case power was lost while running as blower stops. I may look for a APC/UPS to power my unit from and have it set to close the valve and kill the fire.

Nice setup but you really don't need the thermostat. All you have to do is set the oil flow to the flow you want to sustain once everything is warmed up, around 30 mins or so and it will only get to the temp your oil flow is allowing. That way it will not fluctuate in heat output and you will have steady heat all day.
@hobbyhoundsmt55252 жыл бұрын
That is true to a point. The longer it burns it gets a build up of junk from the used oil in the burn pot. This causes the burn to get less efficient.

Your bow stores and delivers a certain amount of energy. Depending on the bow. Also, the reason dry firing a bow is a sure way to ruin the bow is because bows are made to transfer their stored energy to a projectile. A heavier projectile has the ability to absorb and transfer more of that stored energy. Probably also why humid air heats and holds heat more efficiently than dryer air.
