I started this quilt yesterday and you’re absolutely right. The method that the pattern designer tells you to follow (imo) is a bit stupid. Because they NEVER end up being the right size. All my FG blocks I’ve done the traditional way because it frustrated me so much haha

I believe you will find your place with regards to longarming when you are ready. You may decide it is not for you. And that will take time. Whatever you decide to do should be your choice and that you are happy with it. Thank you for sharing.

I was in town on the weekend as well!! Not for hockey though lol. Met my son downtown and had a great lunch at a terrific restaurant. I grew up in the city and I always love to go back as often as I can!

Janine -- you are so awesome! I can't believe you did that! The goalies are fantastic! Your videos are so hilarious -- I LOVE them -- but also, truly, you rocked this coat! I got a pattern for one months back because you inspired me and I'm even more inspired now! Did you get to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame? You are doing a great job! I’ve been sewing for 40 years and started out just like you, a lot of confusion but pushing through I’ve become very good. Lots of trial and error and seam ripping but practicing on all kinds of sewing makes you better. With KZfaq channels you can learn anything g these days. I had to learn by reading books and patterns! Keep it up. Live your videos!
