No clue how you are not rubbing like crazy offroad with stock wheels. Have you taken it on some rough stuff and got it bent up yet with articulation and ability to turn the wheel? I read the comments and you yourself even question your mileage. You lost 1MPG when everyone else lost 7-9. That is as you say................weird.

People must have lead foot. I drive it like a grandpa. Some people people in FL where it’s flat are getting 17mpg or less on stock tires?? 13mpg on 35’s. Makes no sense. 😂 I don’t question my own MPG cause I know what it says every day. It goes to 15-16 on a trail after an all day slow ass trail ride. A few days later it’s back to 18-19 again.

@@appalachhaun_adventures That is encouraging news. I just put the full blown Teraflex 3.5 lift with the 3.3 falcons, Steer Smart brace, Steer Smart frt track bar, etc. 37 inch Milestars on new 9x17 wheels. It took me off and on 3 days to install the kit, and once everything was done, I drove it around the very large block (rural Idaho) but had a plane ticket to come home the next morning. Won't be going back to Idaho until mid July to go have an alignment and actually DRIVE it to see what's what. The little bit I did drive it (maybe 3 miles) I did not really notice much of a difference in power (gearing). But the Gladiator only has 190 miles on it, so there is not much of a benchmark yet anyway. Thx for the reply, as I am even more curious now about the mileage. I already have an appointment in July to put 5:13's in it based on youtube videos but may cancel that and try it with 4:10's for a bit.

@@grantparnes going from the 33’s to 37’s feels very very minimal if any difference at all when driving it as far as daily driving around town. It feels pretty much exactly the same as with the 33’s to me. It didn’t make it sluggish at all! I don’t really have any desire at all to change gearing! Thanks for watching and for the comments! That sounds like quite the setup you installed!

Im going to put on 37” but without a lift only put 1.75 wheel spacer. Will it rub?
@appalachhaun_adventures
@appalachhaun_adventures 13 күн бұрын
Your gap between the top of tire to the fender will be 2” less with the 37’s than it was with the 33” tries. So if you flex the suspension hard, you could rub the tire up into the fender some. With the 2” lift I did after getting the tires, it put that gap between top of tires and fender back to stock gap size.

I have the same lift with 37 inch tires, the rims are a -12mm offset, they stick out past my fender, I added the mopar extreme recon fender flares to help mitigate the mud, they don’t look ridiculous either, if you decide to throw the spacers on that may be a solution, only 20 bucks per corner from the dealer, you just need to buy 2 sets of the front corners, do not buy the rear set they won’t fit, there are a few videos online of how to mount them

I have camped along Old 105 once...was tough to locate a spot, but did find one...and that was on a Wednesday or Thursday. I have been along there twice before, but not looking to camp...but was on a weekend and yes, most all places will already be taken up. There are many people who will arrive during the day on Friday...and some on Thursday afternoon / evenings. By Saturday morning, almost impossible to find a spot. Then you have some locals who will show up mid-week and set up a junker tent to "hold a spot," and never actually show up in camp until Friday afternoon / evening; that is complete BS and should not be allowed. First come, first served ! Free dispersed camping in North Carolina, in general, is not plentiful...that's a key part of the problem.

@Co-SS

@appalachhaun_adventures
@appalachhaun_adventures 25 күн бұрын
There isn’t much difference between the 2023 and 2024 other than the dash and the stereo/navigation screen. The point is, if I was in the market right now for a Gladiator, you can get a $64K one for $44K. The Ranger has less interior space/leg and shoulder room and is nowhere near as offroad capable. The Ranger will struggle and throw a wheel in the air on terrain the Gladiator just easily rolls over with all 4 wheels planted to the ground.

I’ve only been on the trail once. I definitely would not do it without good tires. Really good All Terrain tires or Mud Terrain tires.
