This is a great format - I'm pretty new to this sport and I think this is the first comp like this I've seen. Obviously all these women are incredibly strong and fit, and fantastic athletes, but... Jessica Pilz has an amazing physique. I wish my shoulders looked like that!

They removed it. It had some copyright infringement (Sony Entertainment picked up on it) and effectively blocked anyone from watching it as a result. Hopefully it will get sorted out and they will upload it again.

@@edgykay not sure. I couldn’t stay up to watch it either so I tried to catch it this morning after I got up. Kept getting the same message about SME copyright. Tried VPNs from different countries to see if I could get around it but no joy. It’s obviously a global block. Not just a region. I guess IFSC caught on after people highlighted the issue to them, and they decided to take the whole video down. 😢. A bit bummed. Hope this doesn’t happen with the final coverage. I will have the same issue. Can’t stay up so I have to catch the video coverage after I wake up.

@@lill8537I’m sure it’s because of the background music but it’s so annoying that it got flagged for that because NOBODY is watching these for some random muddled-sounding song 1.5 hours in or whatever that plays underneath ongoing commentary about climbing. Probably a Sony bot caught it I guess?? I really hope IFSC counters the claim successfully because it’s not at all a reasonable one. Or just reposts it with the required sections silenced if need be. :/ I was halfway through and had to leave for a social obligation and was looking forward to finishing the stream when I got home. Extremely frustrating.

Cool to have all these camera angles, but save them for between attempts quick recaps, or highlight reels after the climb. Those shots exist in other sports but not while there is actual live play happening.

I think it’s (Lead semis) blocked everywhere. Sony Music Entertainment (SME) has blocked it from everyone. IFSC has obviously used some part of their music or something that infringes copyright so they have pretty much barred everyone from watching the video. I am in Australia and I can’t watch it.

zooming-in in climbing is like zooming-in in figure skating. it accomplishes nothing and only detracts. it's about the entire body in both sports.
