Allied universal is a miserable company to work for. Worked for em in Chattanooga. My sup was a good dude but everyone above them sucked fat hair donkey dick. Security is a good field to be in, but allied fuckin sucks.

I feel you brother I used to work for them when they was Allied Barton in Georgia and you do make overtime if somebody doesn't come to the site on time like they was doing me I used to have to be there at 10:00pm to 7:00am and the guy will run late so I wouldn't get off till 8:00am in the morning but I went ahead and quit back in 2015 because they kept on and off on sites with me it wasn't guaranteed money and it pays every 2 weeks so I quit and I got my money back from the uniform too they are a absolute joke 😅

This was during COVID...it was a bad time for everyone

I applied to allied and they said there are no openings but they are hiring

I applied with Allied about a month ago at the Manhattan main office and could not believe the number of Haitians and Africans (from the continent of Africa) sitting in the waiting area for an interview. I went there in need of a job, and about 2 hours later, I walked out with nothing. If you are a legal citizen, do not waste your time applying with Allied Universal. They only hire migrants. I am former Navy with 18 years of security experience and cannot land a job. The truth is the truth. Allied Universal is a joke in poor taste.

Physically attractive guards get treated better and are often placed in better paying sites.

They deduct the uniform cost from the first couple of checks.

The pay is slightly above minimum wage.

No respect from the clients and from the security guard company itself.

Constantly getting stuck into double shifts with very little sleep in between.

There is always a check issue. Working 40 plus hours and getting less than the hours put in.

If you can avoid this line of work, please do so.

Contract security is the pits.

Security guards have no protection from a bogus union they must pay a weekly fee to.

Security guards are a dime a dozen.

I was just let go from a site for no reason of my own.

Security is good as a part time job while doing school since it pays decently well and you mostly don't have to do shit. But I would never work full time again or work security without pursuing something else. All my sites were shit and most supervisors are lazy bums that also have an ego for some reason because of their position.

I took a suspect armed with a knife into custody. Came down on my knee and took an ambulance ride, got ct scan etcetera. Took them three years to get my workman's comp claim paid. Screwed my credit. Get away from Allied. There are better companies.
