Like construction screws are harder than standard nails when being cut by a recip saw or oscillating tool using the "wood and nail" blades, would these anchor bolts be harder to cut than rebar with this tool? Doable, just takes a little longer.

Yes. But that was the original wheel that came with the grinder. It is not a true metal cutting grinder wheel. I have those now and they’d cut through the bolt in the video in about 20 seconds

Did you do the inner tie rods? We just did them but are having confusion torquing them. I read the spec is 40 ft pounds
@LogosFarm
@LogosFarm 3 ай бұрын
I did not do the inners at the time, I should have, but I wasn’t thinking clearly. 40-50mm for the inner tie rod is correct, gonna be hard to get exact unless you knew the exact position before removing. Hence why you almost must have an alignment done afterwards.
@Visaviel
@Visaviel 3 ай бұрын
@@LogosFarm I counted the rotations of the outer tie rod when taking the old ones off, and put the new ones on with the same number of rotations, which I guess helped with the alignment since the car is driving well without any alignment. But with the inner tie rods we weren’t sure if we got them tight enough or over tightened because the access is from the top and the crows foot wrench kept hitting the metal plate underneath the inner tie rods/rack when trying to tighten so you would have to loosen it to be able to tighten it again lol. So we were never able to torque them to spec just got them good and tight and bent the washers over the rack. And also tightened down the jam nuts again as they loosened as we were tightening the inner tie rods. It was the most confusing part of this repair for us as total newbs

Screws on mine are stripped. Heard it’s common on this model/year. I plan on going the whole 9 yards and removing the throttle body and idle air control valve (IACV) for cleaning. When you disconnect the battery, does that mean you don’t have to reset the ECM? I’ve seen others go through a reset process where they warm up, shut off and remove some fuses, and drive again for 10 min. Overall, they said the reset process takes a full tank of driving.

0w40 actually uses better oil base stock than 5w30, or any other 5w product in general. Current 0w40 may not have more PAO as they used to, but definitely still have a decent amount. 5w products now are almost all hydrocracked or GTL group 3 oil, which is technically mineral, just refined to a point where they are somewhat close to the performance of truly synthetic PAO (Group 4 base stock oil).

How was your experience with the catch can, I had mine for about a year and I didn’t really notice any difference except more maintenance draining it. It was even more annoying in the winter months
@LogosFarm
@LogosFarm 11 ай бұрын
Definitely more maintenance. It seems like all that fluid would make a huge difference but it’s very hard to tell. I recently sold that F-150 but it was running like a champ, I assume all gains is MPG were from cleaning the MAF and the eco tune, but it’s possible the catch can helped. I also am a firm believer it’ll help the engine last, the original engine in this F-150 blew the second day I owned it(only 80k) So I had the dealer put in a new one and that’s when I put on the catch can, couldn’t think of any reason the old would have seized up.

I too, have a 2013 3.5 eco boost. Question, the truck has 3 mass air flow sensors? I though it was just one.. the one on the air intake hose by air filter..
@LogosFarm
@LogosFarm Жыл бұрын
How’s it going! The one inside the air filter box is different from the other two, I believe it’s a MAP, the other two shown are MAFs, in the video I mentioned the last one looks broken. It’s not broken it’s just a different tip than the other two but it takes the same process to clean. All in all it has 3 sensors you should clean. Hope that helps.

@@LogosFarm hello. I cleaned off the 2 maf sensors. The map sensor looks burnt and old. Connectors look new but the sensor thing is burnt and oily/dark. Not white. Tried to clean it off and no results. Ordered a new one. Car is sluggish, excessive fuel consumption and burnt smell sometimes. I have a. 2013 ford f150. Do you think I’ll benefit from replacing this map sensor?
@LogosFarm
@LogosFarm Жыл бұрын
@@danielmarjanovic9957 You should yes. One of mine was the same, I did this process, changed air filter, and spark plugs. I’d see how it fairs with with the new sensor, unplug the battery completely when you install it. I get 16.5 Mpg not sure what you get. Spark plugs were like $50 and a couple hours to install.
