God put an end to Abraham sacrificing his son because Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice to pay for sin, that includes those who see it is OK for men to lie with men and women to lie with women. The truth has to be taught with charity.

You're a boring, angry condescending broken record. I'll just bet you're "packin' 'em in" every Sunday. Whew!!!
@user-if8qx9wj7lАй бұрын
Let me guess, your church attendance is circling the drain and you can't figure out why.. Store the anger, your personal agenda and sarcasm and stick to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Pompous.and condescending.

Poor Jesus. Poor Jesus. When is God going to intervene and end the abuse we have to endure in the misinterpretation of scripture and restore His Church?

Thank you for this word Father. I've plaigarised much of it for this Sunday's homily. Blessings and best wishes. Fr Paul

Just wanted to say that we were without a priest today and so we played this sermon for the congregation. Everyone loved it and we got many compliments. Thanks for the great sermon and taking the effort to make it available online to others. Peace and Blessings - Susan Shultz for Christ & The Epiphany, East Haven CT

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is August 14, 2022. Today is The 10th Sunday after Pentecost. This passage from St. Luke was our Gospel Lesson of the Day. And on this day, let us pray for firefighters, welders, glass artists, and those experiencing persecution because of their faith.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. This passage from the Gospel of Luke is read every three years on The First Sunday of Christmas. It is also read on February 2, which is The Festival of The Presentation of Our Lord. The First Sunday of Christmas falls between December 26-January 1. Many refer to this as Low Sunday, along with The Second Sunday of Easter. In our minds, Christmas is over. Families have returned home and families and businesses are taking down their decorations. And the businesses are now putting up Valentine's Day merchandise, along with some New Year's merchandise (hats & horns). A never ending cycle, IMO.

Ms. Johnson, thanks for your well-prepared presentation. May I ask a question? Why, if the manager was acting dishonestly, would he think a future employer would want to hire a dishonest manager? In your business, would you want to employ a person who was defrauding his employer? (I have an idea about this, but I'd like to know yours.)

Thank you for posting this! During the pandemic we are holding Zoom services and one advantage of that is being able to play recorded sermons of other clergy around the country. We played this sermon today and everyone loved it! We all wish you all well and Rt. Rev. Deon the best in his new step as Bishop. - Peace, Susan (Christ & The Epiphany, East Haven, CT)

Community means feeling you are a part, Having intimate friends help heal your heart. Music at St Paul’s is outstanding art, Educating and Learning will keep you from tearing apart. As we teach each other morals along this journey, Keep in mind your outreach will help for eternity. So goes my 1st Spiritual rap, I hope you feel the love of Christ…and that is that!

I feel blessed in my heart every day. Being a part of St Paul’s is friendly in every way. Family-services gets the young ones involved, While tradition is kept as the church evolves. Teaching and passing values happens along the path, Giving from the heart will help avoid the wrath.
