Yes this song got me good, even though it's about the band alot of it I felt applied to my life also as some others might. Song definately had me crying, honestly you just need to tell someone that you love them or that they are loved, that could mean the world to them or at least make their day. ❤

This was the one song that was pretty much immune to DJ overtalk, because the a capella intro and the crisp, tight close-out were so iconic! You young whippersnappers 😉😊 have no idea how DJs could ruin our mix tapes by talking over the beginning or ending of our favourite songs. We'd sit by the radio with our fingers on the cassette recorder button and wait for our favourites to come, only to have them marred by some idiotic DJ talk or needless station identification... 😡 As to my first reaction when it came out, I loved it from day 1. I had just become a Christian shortly before. I knew it wasn't quite a Christian song, but loved the spiritual journey Kerry Livgren (blond guitarist and songwriter) was obviously on. A year or so later, he wrote "Dust in the Wind", which could have come straight from the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible. A few years later, he actually did become a Christian! ❤🤗 Anyway, I really loved your reaction! It's so fun to see today's young people discovering and loving the music I grew up with. Keep up the awesome work! ❤🤗

As a german, i think, no other band can do it. If you know about history, we germans invented the technology, that the Americans use, to fly to the moon!

When they rereleased this album in 2022 for its 30th anniversary they redid the music and used a real orchestra and even redid the music video audio to have a real orchestra playing. This video was the first video prior to the KZfaq era to surpass 2billion views. Slash improvised the guitar solo he did and the church he walks out of to play the solo they brought in to New Mexico just for the video and Slash said in an interview that the helicopters kept getting too close and was scaring him. They originally had an 18min version of this. I wish they would’ve kept it and released it.

That's an example of how real and talented musical artists were in the 70's and 80's. No auo- cues, no special effects , just pure raw talent. ELO and Queen were perfect examples of just how great musicians were back then.

where do wars evolve from? look at any 2 people arguing, warring, ask which one thinks the other owes a debt illusion, then the one that thinks the debt illusion is owed, tries to inslave others into fighting it's war/hatred with it pride; when anything is proud of their child is acting as a football player, anything, then wants to be an artists, the pride is not satisfied, the debt illusion is not paid. wrath; when the debt illusion is not paid, hatred, threats, destruction here’s something strange, hold out you're hand, try to show anyone debt illusion, what colour is it? what shape? what does it smell like? its not real! the veil! the lie! friends forgive each others debt illusion, enemies do not. forgive all debt illusion, forget all enemies, forget all wars, there is peace, love and creativity.

Elvis does a profoundly lame cover of the Tony Joe White original. Elvis may be a popular performer, but he's also a music thief of record proportions.

Sadly, it didn't win many awards but was the most played song on rock radio well into the 1990's and early 2000's.
