Never more true than today. I've voted Democrat myself for 'union' reasons until after 2008 when the unions PRETENDED they weren't under attack by the Dems .and then the union heads got paid to go along and SCREEED the unions...only three MAYBE four good union left. Ask Verizon workers how illegal immigration took away the power of their union. The ACTUAL knowledgeable ones

thanks for watching and your interest. I use the 150 through 1000 on both the base coats. then 3 coats of thin CA glue per accellerant. completing 10 coats. only after all 10 coats of thin CA glue do I sand the finish coats. I may have to start w/ 150g but move through all to 1000 g carefully. Hope this helps you. Thanks again, Sincerely ............... God bless.

Hey Steph, how are you doing? Are you working on cues still? You give lots of inspiration and I'm hoping to get a lathe someday soon.

Sure, I get a cue or few from time to time. I don't advertise so sometimes there's drought when other times when it rains it pours. :) For the most part, I quit making video's b'c of the KZfaq rules on music. Others also used my video's to make money on their channels. It's a crazy world out there but I still answer all the comments and do get work through KZfaq a lot. If you're thinking of purchasing a lathe and need any help in choosing a path for equip. or how or what to use in products, feel free to reach out. I'm retired, have no real schedule and work around the property w/ the cell phone close and the music playing. Catch me on my Facebook channel private message : (Stephen Boeker) w/the same animated alligator. :) Good luck, Sincerely .................. God bless.

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment !! Honestly, I don't remember, BUT , I can tell you this : if it is a screw on tip, you will see the head of the screw in the center of the bumper. if you don't see a screw head, then it is a press in bumper. Press in bumpers may be hard to remove. Either working it out w/a tool (screwdriver, pick, etc ...) or someone before you may have glued it in. In that case, you might as well just cut the bumper off w/ a sharp knife and dig the rest out (or drill) w/tools (picks, knives, etc ...) New "press-on" bumpers come w/about a 1/2" to 3/4" centering foot on the press-in side. You can measure the diameter of the hole and may be able to purchase to fit. Or, you may get one that is just a bit tight. In that case I've drilled the butt out to fit. If it happens that your cue has no adjustable weight screw in the butt, you should be able to purchase a screw on bumper and screw the threads right into the wooden butt. I hope this helps and thanks again, Sincerely .................... God bless

I liked your video and tried. At the beginning not working. It pullout the bolt and concrete not move at all. Later, I drill anchor deep enough and it did work great. One Point is that don’t pull all the way. When the chain is very tight, release and do again and back and forth many times. It will work great. I like your video because it works and it is real, not just a presentation
@stephboeker7835
@stephboeker7835 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching my video and the kind words. I'm sure there could be other reasons but the 1st things that comes to mind is that either the hole drilled may have been too large keeping the wedge part of the anchor from engaging & tightening the hold on the bolt. Or, Whether I mentioned it or not, the nut must be screwed down far enough for the wedge at the bottom of the bolt to raise the bolt into the sleeve in order to lock the bolt in place. No big deal, just repeat the process about an inch or 2 away and try again. Make sure the drill is the right size and you tighten the nut down to raise the bolt into the sleeve. Then take the nut off and slip the eye on the bolt and replace the nut to hold the eye. Good luck and thanks again, Sincerely ................. God bless. P.S. I noticed I didn't screw the nut down to lift the bolt into the sleeve like I suggested above. If you notice the part where I lifted the chain w/ the jack, it actually pulled the bolt up into the sleeve before it started pulling on the concrete block. But, that's actually my experience over my career in construction. A 1/2 " drill bit should do the trick for a 1/2 " drop in anchor (Red Head).

Some ppl have eyes but do not see. Ears but do not hear. Hearts but find no wisdom in others. It's not your fault or anyone's really. Some get it , some don't. This was simply a record of all the work I preformed on a customers cue , for HIS benefit , who was interested in having it refurbished and not the specific details. a) I am no guru. b) I expect no praise. (i don't monitize any of my video's) c) I simply share w/my circle of friends on this wonderful median. Critique comes w/the territory. But projecting that you didn't like the music or could not learn anything from watching this 8-1/2 min video is very telling and open to critique as well. For instance : Some might ask why waste your time ?? Others may think you slow or special that you could see all that was shared and learn nothing ?? Some would wonder why you believe the finish a secret instead of asking for specific brands used ?? They may think you are lazy ?? You see, it's better to ask questions (seeming to be in pursuit of knowledge) than to open your mouth in criticism while misunderstanding the subject like a fool would and remove all doubt !! I will keep your emotional distress and negative pursuits in my thoughts & prayers in the hopes that your obvious miserable existence choosing to spew negative thoughts and degradation of others despite your lack of authority becomes more positive and rewarding for you in finding good in others and life in general !! Good luck, geaux in peace, w/love, Sincerely .................... God bless.

Pains me to see you have a lathe then sand horizontally many many times without the lathe spinning. Use the lathe for even sanding, that's what it's tgere for. Also what process is it at 4-5min where you are applying the aerosol mist?
@stephboeker7835
@stephboeker7835 10 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and your considerate concerns. :) I guess I'm a victim of over 35 yrs of being coached, experience & obvious results. I will agree that even sanding is important. Holding paper on a pcs of wood spinning 3000 rpms can be touchy if not done w/care. But, just like any orbital sanding or cross grain sanding (on flat or radius) leave obvious scratch marks. I've been taught to finish w/sanding w/grain to remove cross grain marks that may be seen. Fortunately, linear sanding on a cue will help the tapper a bit if you've spin sanded to long in a a spot or two. The aerosol mist is hardener & specifically made for CA glue applications. Thanks again for your generous consideration, Sincerely ................. God bless !!

Wow that perfect sphere was impressive. You make it look really easy but by the size of hands you have sir it may require a lot of strength. Do you think a 13 yo skinny boy could work that spinning thing and get similar results? How many balls would one have to mess up or maybe hours on that machine? Asking for a friend.
@stephboeker7835
@stephboeker7835 11 ай бұрын
Very kind of you to say so. Thank you for watching and commenting. On the contrary, the ball is not so hard to make. I don't even think it took 30 min. it's not the size of hands but the speed of the spinning wood on the lathe and the sharpness of the tool. a) I've seen many children 7, 9, and 10 yrs old learn to hold the tool, resting on the tool rest, and cutting shaping wood on a lathe. b) depending how deep and wide and where you make your cuts determine what shape you make. (cones, balls, decorative legs for tables, etc ...) tinyurl.com/3ma3s2kn c) just cut into the wood cylinder from the middle to the left, deeper & deeper and then again from the middle to the right in the same way. That's what makes a ball. There are helpful "jigs" like a piece of paper cut like a 1/2 circle you could use to see how close or more you need to take out to make a perfect round. You could use a protractor to make the circle on paper and cut it out. Then hold it up to the wood on the lathe as you get close and determine if your shape is close. You can also use sand paper to shape it when you get close and if you do cut to much you can always make it smaller and reshape it. It does not take muscle but tact. The lathe spins at about 2000 to 3000 rpm's so all you have to do is take off a little bit at a time until the shape is how you like it. Simple as that !! By the way, there are many video's on KZfaq to help if you like. You can watch dozens of them !! Good luck and God bless !!
