The strange sea thing in the game kinda reminds me of the growths from Dead Space in a way. Just collecting bodies to expand its growth. And strangely enough, towards the end of the game. The mass sort of takes shape similarly to the Marker from Dead Space as well.

The music used was also used in a brilliant Jack the Ripper documentary by Lemmino.

Best thing is the thing game is getting a remake! I would love for this game to have more replay value, only complaint I watched a full playthrough and don’t see why I should get it…

I loved this game when i streamed it being a Scottish man myself I loved it, brilliantly designed and even brilliant voice acting. The only nit pick I want to say is that it was over far too quick I hope there is another one or they just leave it like this

I think the reason this game is so interesting for many is extremely simple. The entity comes from very deep in the ocean, something humans still know very little about, and that's exactly it: It plays on the fact that it is the only space on our earth we know almost nothing about, so in theory the whole game's concept could be very real because it cant be proven or disproven that this stuff exists down there

The voice acting is nuts, genuinely nuts. How does every single person put on such a believable character? Especially the moment with Brodie's death had me crying.

Graham survived because, The fire within burned brighter than the fire without 😊 I like Ulysses and I like The Big empty characters but Joshua Graham is just something above everyone else in this game he is just a real joy to hang around and listen to

I thought it was confirmed Reznov is actually alive? There's documents you can find by accessing the terminal in the main menu. They speak about someone known as "The Wolf" being in contact with Hudson about Mason.

Another theory: The monsters. When they take control of whoever they kill, it seems that the persons personality or their character always stays. For example how Rennick was the Manager for the Rig, and ends up being the only monster Caz has to evade from at the very end.

At least there is some minute comfort in knowin Caz would absolutely die of some brain-trauma related incident with the amount of time he spends knocked out after impact with solid steel. Great video, I love some mysterious near-eldrich ocean horror, and the entity in this IS surprisingly beautiful (mutated humans notwithstanding). Shame the ending *is* a little basic. The only issue is that the cards for the channel and other videos show up a whole two minutes before the end of the video. KZfaq moment.

This game has provided me entertainment since I was literally in middle school in 2010. I’m married and living my adult life, but I still regularly play NV at least once a year. Honestly one of my favorite games ever, especially with all the qol mods you can have on pc that help the game run better.

Story is of zero importance as the gameplay is such a mess it’s not worth playing more than a few hours. Especially in the later stages since the game is so boring and generic they start to throw a lot more enemies at you and the whole thing falters miserably. Shame on the producer for hoping to surf on Dead Space’s success. This game is a scam.

I don’t know why everyone is getting so twisted up about this? The National Front is described as a right wing, fascist political party. I’m not making bold, unfounded statements. This is something that is echoed everywhere I look.

I think a simple but flimsy reason for the VHS timetravel and mirror worlds could be the unhatched god mucking about with things: they ultimately move things in the direction of the crypt being unlocked and a sacrafice being given, not to mention if you were to lose the final boss fight you could think of it as having been fully freed.

So one theory i had is that this uses a living earth theory where basically the earth itself is a living organism the drill basically went to deep and pierced into the muscle and what we are seeing is the white bloodcells attacking the foreign thing that just harmed the organism.

The whole time i was playing this the story made me think "man this seems like something the chinese room would put out if they went a more exciting hands on action route...then I got to the credits and was like "oh, well fuck". This totally has the DNA of Everyones gone to the rapture, and a machine for pigs. good fucking job Chinese Room, this was amazing.
