Another con may be that many of the new townhomes and condos in some areas have only very reduced driveway and parking spaces-----we can 't all make do with a bicycle only and always vying for a street parking space isn 't really a new home owner's dream.

We all love new construction homes. The shiny new countertops, polished appliances, and perfect condition is what we all want. However, there pros and cons to buying a newly constructed home. Thank you for this video. My husband and I invested in 2 tiny homes and the infrastructure (hydro, septic, water) for our acreage to rent on Airbnb and hopefully retire one day and live off the income. Sadly my MLA has informed me we will not be able to operate after May 1st. Not sure what we're going to do now... We still owe a lot of money on was supposed to be a long term investment.

Our view is the new BC Government Short-Term Rental Accommodation Act will not help to achieve this, yet will devastate the legally licenses short-term operations by destroying property values and imposing large GST Tax liabilities. We don't believe it will provide any units affordable by people who really need help but will actually be scooped up by high income workers as discount prices.. What do you think?
