I WISH that top spin had the groundstroke animations from virtua tennis 3 or 4. That was where virtua tennis really excelled. Top spin has unfortunately been made by people who don’t understand proper groundstroke technique/form. It almost looks like they got a bunch of social players in to swing a racquet around during motion capture… Accurate, professional level groundstroke technique/form would go a long way for top spin.

To me, animations are better on Top Spin but graphics and signature moves are way better on Tie Break.. and I don’t talk about roster..

Full Ace is a simulator, good if you like realistic ball movement, player signature styles, better career mode(actual full competitions and mods) and realistic surfaces, Top Spin is an arcade type casual experience with realistic movements and sliding on clay and other minor details that make it an ok tennis game. I switch bewteen both often, but i find myself playing Full Ace more due to predatory transactions in Top Spin 2k5. I never realised how bad the micro transactions actually are until i tried to buy things with earned currency, you cannot unless you want to grind for weeks just to get a pair of NB trainers and a new backhand animation. Full Ace is the way to go, support the devs, they deserve it, and they actual love tennis.

Topspin 2K25 is the better game imo, but it's good to see another studio making a tennis game like tiebreak. This will force top spin developers to up their game to keep staying ahead, meaning 2K26 will be much better too

Tiebreak models are cool but the gameplay is so bad, the movement of the players are like a game from ps2, but the animations before the game start are cool, they just need to copy the top spin gameplay, It's more fluid and doesn't have those weird patterns when you run from side to side

Top Spin has brighter colors... more realistic shots and play action.... Tiebreak has all the required pros to make a career mode more realistic. In Top Spin you have to win 5 ATP100 tournaments to qualify for the majors (that's beyond stupid and laughable but is typical 2K arcade mentality when it comes to sports games... they've ruined PGA2K23 by pulling that kind of $sh!T!). What is with the grayish ball in Tiebreak? My god... that's just sloppy. If they have no more interest that that... just don't bother creating the game. My thoughts.... both games will be available for $19.99 very soon so don't buy either at the new release price haha.

I wish that Topspin had the same detail to different players swings like Tiebreak has. When you look at tiebreak you can clearly see that Med hits like Med and Kyrgios serves like Kyrgios but tbh topspin still is better.

Agreed. Not sure if it’s just a combination of the turf and aspect ratio, but the overall quality and presentation appears as if it’s meant to be as true to form, so I wouldn’t doubt this being the case for the launch title, unclear if it’s dependent on visual output ie TV, but anyone viewing on a newer gen iPhone is likely running an OLED screen with a top notch refresh rate, meaning their actual home setup should be the same or worse, rarely ever better. I’ll refrain from overreacting, as if two KZfaq viewers can flag this as an issue within seconds, you would hope that an army of developers, testers and ultimately, executive board members will raise said concern and mitigate any potential faux pas for launch. New title with world class representation and pretty lofty claims…this is surely a prime example of how having one chance to form a first impression will be paramount to its immediate reception, and subsequently, player adoption rate over the most crucial 2-3 month launch period. They wouldn’t miss this, right!? Let’s wait and see. Otherwise, looks very polished and the mechanics seem pure. Again, something you need to play hands-on in order to form a proper judgment. 🍿 #DrusViewz
