I loved this video so much!! I’m a teacher from Brazil and here the policy of special education is so sad, so ineffective that everybody suffer: the included students, other students, teachers, community… Is so wonderful to see that there are places like the one you show in the video.. Congrats! You are really inspiring, people!❤

I would love your advice. I am a para but am having issues with a fellow para bc it's her way or no way. And i have brought this to my teacher and nothing has been done . It's been going on for 6 months . I do not have any experience in this field but am a parent to a autistic child. And have a medical background.

I love your videos! I am hoping to be a self contained intellectual disabilities teacher next school year I love all of the fun activities you have planned for the kids. It gives me a lot of ideas and inspiration for when I do teach ID one day! And the kids look so happy and are so engaged!

Special Ed should be set up in a diverse way at every school. In other words, Special Ed teachers should always meet full qualification so that none are better qualified than any others are, but school administrators almost never grow up and therefore generally just want Special Ed teachers to have at least the bare minimum requirements in order to teach Special Ed, and there shouldn’t be a bare minimum with Special Ed whatsoever!
@TheAdaptedClassroom5 ай бұрын
I’m sorry are you implying that we do the bare minimum in my classroom?
@cbsteffen5 ай бұрын
@@TheAdaptedClassroom No. When I was a kid, I couldn’t go to my neighborhood elementary school because Special Ed teachers there were not the best qualified to deal with students with learning disabilities. Besides, the principal there at the time was not properly addressing needs of students with behavior problems!

Hello Mrs. Rhose, I actually cut out my cardstock activities out first before laminating (119lb weight cardstock) and 5 ml. pouch sheets. It must be nice to have a variety of Big Macks. I'm lucky to be provided with 2, even our Speech department doesn't have enough Big Macks for the teachers who teach moderate/severe like myself.

Thank you so much for showing classroom with multiple disabilities. I teach multiple disabilities at the high school level. All of my students are wheelchair mobility, but they work with their peers in my class. I'm so grateful that I have the privilege of serving these special students. I'm a former special education student myself.
