this was great. Saved me from buying a new TV. Hardest part was putting the screws back where they belonged and not ending up with the dreaded extra! Word of caution: be careful when removing the back cover. The edges are very sharp. I know, got finger cuts to prove it. Smarted up and used a putty knife to loosen the panel. This video is a scam. Do not trust this guy he is clearly unqualified and will cost you thousands in damage repairs. I tried this on two of my SEADOOS (not jetski’s, genius) one of them took on so much water it ruined the internal components. The second ski fully sank and i had to pay for a barge to come lift it out of the lagoon. I’m honestly appalled that KZfaq has allowed this unlicensed fraud to continue to post.

It's really annoying. This happened to me. I tried to work the lock according to Thule's instructions (only two seasons of use) and read a few other "experts" opinions, it was a no-win for me. I cant express how frustrating it is to purchase an expensive bike rack only to be thwarted by a two dollar lock!

Why not just move the sensor back away from the current location ? Like locate it back inside about a foot or two out of the sunlight.

What do I do if it doesn’t wanna disconnect from the light so I can switch it?

I cannot get my Thule swing to retract, in other words when extended, I cannot get it back. Yes I am pressing the grey button down, even with assistance it is still locked.

I tried this solution and it didn't work. Then I switched the sensors from one side to the other. It worked perfectly.
