isnt there another version where dragapult gets sent to discard pile then another dragon copies its atk ? i got whooped by that this weekend

This video was from before that was really properly considered a “dragapult” type of deck but yeah that’s Regidrago VSTAR

i hate so much how you both fidget with your cards in hand, the amount of bend being put on those cards is going to ruin them in the long run.

same, the constant sound of them fidgeting was so annoying. one of my least favourite things to come across when playing someone

The fidgeting of the cards during downtime makes me so uninterested. Is that a tick or is it done on purpose to throw off the opponent?
@jamesctcg6 күн бұрын
It's just a habit built over years and years of playing pokemon tcg from both of us, there really isn't anything to do during opponent's turn so this is what we do, will fix/cut out of videos in future :)

@@jamesctcg I'm honestly curious, there's a single guy that does it all the time in my weekly local Play! tournament and if you'd do it in chess you'd definitely be reprimanded. On friday's tournament, btw, a player, once he realized he couldn't win, just did as much as he could and as slow as he could without being called out so that the time would run out and would cause it to be a tie. At this point it was a 5 to 1 prizes and his deck was Chien Pau, so not a mill deck or anything. They did end up on a tie. Is that a normal occurrence? I've only been playing again this year and that seems quite against the spirit of the game for me. Anyway, thanks for the answer and that was a very cool challenge. So hard to make decks with cards from a single set, especially pulled from a booster box.

Such a cool format! I wish this kind of sealed play were more popular as an event; too bad it's so expensive compared to a sealed format in other TCGs. Only a whole booster box gives enough trainers; one box can draft two players at best, and that's if you use every trainer card in the box. Still, if you're looking to open booster boxes anyway, it's a cool competitive format that I think more people should try! (Not necessarily betting the box contents, of course!)

Great stuff! And while I was able to follow the game, and this could be just me, but the camera position made the game confusing at times. In one angle you're shown on the right side of the screen but in the overhead shot your playmat is on the left. Keeping your board on the left side for the overhead view might have made for a better viewing experience but it was a good match still!

You guys could have atleast advise your opponent at what card or skills you are using. We don’t even know if which effects are happening all cards are flying around lol

@Duo-gorilla 21:31 You can also hear Owyn asking "What's Happening" in this clip and his a Top Pro player but still getting confused about the play James doing lol. So it would be nice to atleast they could have taken the time to explain which effects are going given that James just wanted 1 match. To be honest Owyn's deck is not even as good as James deck and he was able to make his deck work.

For the Miraidon matchup, even 4 prizes behind you still have a chance if you can setup a Gardevoir and continously Iono/Stamp them to reduce the chances of Boss. Iono + Catcher to take 2 prizes on the Mew with Gardy, take the hit from Iron Hands then Iono again and KO it with Drifbloon, Catcher/Boss/Scream Tail on the Skawkabilly for the last 2 Prizes.
