I will go one step further, the entire concept of music is a waste of time. There is not a single thing Music does that a number of other more constructive things do better.

Not weeks not months…fucking years, haha love it. I’ve been producing and mixing my own music for 3-4 years. I can make a real instrument based pro sounding mix….after 3 or 4 years of doing it. Just got home from studio after tracking some harmonies and hating them, and I’m like man maybe it’s time to stop paying rent for this place. Had to watch some YT vids to cheer me up cause it is tough and can be extremely frustrating but wtf else are we gonna do right?!

Hi I have a Scarlett 2i2 so I don’t have the midi in and out on the back like you have. Is there a way to connect it so I can send midi to the tr8s like you do. Like to create this kind of communication loop? I would really appreciate any help. I have the same setup like push 2 and tr8s and iam pretty much a beginner and I haven’t found a good way to enjoy jamming and live playing yet. Thanks

You can send via USB. I just don’t recommend it :)

I got ableton and a push 2 trying to learn making music. I feel like I need more control over my workflow when I'm doing it. Mixing is very essential part and I love long transitions and detailed sounds. Im more into taking my audience into a journey with music, that is the my intention. Actually got into music making only because I think I got things to say and music can help us listen better I believe, in another word It is more about the expression of myself more than influencing others. So I started this path and got into music. I make it short, my question is : What do I need to have full control of my sounds ? What midi next to push ? I wanna have control over fx, volume, pan, some device controls, no money for hardware synthesizer but I need to control softsynth, all that without using mouse and keyboard which is apart from making music and is more like producing and getting lost Thank you

Im not quite getting it.why would I like to control the TR8 from an other device, when you still need to change reverb and delay on the TR8? And why would I only use a mono strip to send it to the interface? Guess I missed the core problem🤦🏼♂️

I managed to almost make it work, I managed to get the ITS file work, so it recognises the push 2. And it is mapping the buttons on the push 2. But the problem is that is doesnt show me the options that are needed for the input and output. How to solve this. So basically not able to control it wil the push 2.

Who cares what others think. Thats the problem. Sorry to bust your bubble but you got it or you dont. It all starts with writing. You lyrically cant write then the music still wont hide a bsd written song. However a well written song can stand alone with just toe tapping. Who decides that is you. Dont listen to these youtube hacks. They're a dime a dozen making money off views. No skills to work a real job.

I her what you are saying and I really do hope it resonates with those who want to make music but it'[s also important to know how you want to be a part of the music scene. For example, I learned to DJ back in the mid 90s. By DJ I mean 1200 MKIIs using the pitch fader and beatmatching/mixing vinyl EDM. Back then there was a seperation between DJs and producers. Most DJs didn't produce back then and most producers didn't DJ. Then producers started to learn how to mix and thus the producer/DJ was born. Nowadays if you want to become a player in the scene you need to produce AND DJ. I'm not talking about Soundcloud producers i'm talking about LIVE perfomance DJing, either streaming or at a club/party/rave/festival/etc... Anyways, cheers!
