Great conversation! The local and global Rotary concerted efforts to end Polio through preventive measures is in the homestretch! Soon immunization strategy is winning the war and this is a great gift that the concerted efforts by all partners is going to gift the communities around the world. Probably, the polio warriors we are, and our families may understand better what the win against polio means! I truly appreciate the Rotarians locally, and the world over 🙏 Kindly, allow me to impress on you to remember and start strategies to hold the hand of the polio warrior living with the nasty and daily disabling after polio effects. Millions of children succumbed to polio when the preventive intervention was not as good as it is today. The war and struggle is life long. Proudly, WE ARE STILL HERE! We thank God 🙏 We can better live an empowered and independent life with crucial life interventions. WE ARE STILL HERE, albeit undignified by our life long infirmities. Who will tell our story if not us? Let us remember the wounded warrior, fighting a lone battle to live a full and dignified life. Thank you🙏
