Ive used pico and quest 3. Pico is much better for pcvr tbh. Especiqlly the fov. Its really immersive

Its not good, it turns the camera on without you knowing and settings can be changed by mistake if on your wrist. I went out today and the remote turned the ca,era on in my bag, I came to use it and it had filmed the inside of my bag for 40 minutes

I wonder if this will work with Mini 2SE. So far nothing else does other than the ridiculous looking and over priced magimask.

Loved the non-biased review. As a Pico and Quest user, I love both... I mainly use my Pico 4 for PCVR while my Quest for standalone... since i play longer sessions on PCVR, the PICO surpasses it. WHile for standalone short fun games, the Quest and Meta's game library surpasses the Pico.

Very nice video, thank you! The stitching defect was the immediate thing I noticed when I received my X4. I didn't have such issue with my X3, as also compared in your video. It's likely that the X4 has become larger and longer in size, which makes its software more difficult to stitch images together while hiding de camera. Or, the higher frame rate or resolution exposes much more details and makes image processing harder for stitching. I don't know if this defect is only for certain X4 devices or its for all X4s (I asked lots of X4 buyers, some of them said they didn't have this issue...) Anyway, this is unacceptable for my use. I decided to return my X4 and wait to see if they can fix this later.

Hi, really nice breakthrough. i tried this couldnt install through the play store obviously and had to download it using a sketchy website. I have it installed on my quest 2 but its just a black window, and nothing is appearing on airplay/screenmirroring. fix? did you have the same problem?

After breaking my x3 lenses (thank god for insurance) I've just upgraded to the X4 simply for that lens guard, however I was worried about quality but it looks very impressive with just the standard lens guards on. 👍

I have both the Quest 3 and the Pico 4. Truthfully, and despite the issues with passthrough and the "better" pancake lenses of the Quest 3, I tend to use the Pico 4 much more often when I can, and I absolutely use it for workouts. The Quest 3's issues with balance and the binocular overlap are very nearly deal-breakers for me. Putting the Quest 3 on my face after using the Pico 4 is like sticking a brick on my face, versus putting on a hat that feels more or less the same at the front and the back. Also, and for some weird reason, I absolutely can NOT use the Quest 3 passthrough or Home functions if the refresh rate isn't at 90hz. That is, unless I want to get dog-sick within 10 minutes and stay that way for at least 2 hours after I take it off. Yes, I had to use the AMVR "halo" enhancement to make the Pico 4 wearable for my face, but on I'm also about to be on my 4th head strap for the Quest 3. The otherwise nice halo strap I just bought for it (replacing the elite strap I bought before--which replaced the included "jock strap" that comes with the Q3) will NOT stay in place, and pancake lenses or no, it does make a difference in the clarity of the headset... to say nothing of the comfort. Sincerely hoping the rumors about Bytedance making an "advanced" version of the Pico 4 are true. If they are, I'll be one of the first in line to buy it!

AMVR facial interface and an elite style strap will probably help a lot comfort wise. People seem to love the BOBOVR S3 if you have the money.

So happy that I came across this video - I have the Pocket 1 and with all the buzz around the Pocket 3, I was thinking of buying the Pocket 2. Based on your video, I think I’ll just stick with my always reliable and cinematic looking Pocket 1. Glad you mentioned the cinematic aspect in your video. Keep putting out that sic content!

Just got myself a few of the last pairs that still seem to be on the market for more or less of a clearance sale price of close to 200€. If you going through the effort and trying to find a suitable replacement earpads without the Shure sticker price, there are some on Amazon with nearly the same firmness for 14-20€ a pair.

Well if you give a little more effort to update a few things on the Quest3 you'll find that the Quest 3 is by far superior. I have both headsets and like them both, but the Quest3 is my favorite. Seems that what you describe with your Quest are some issues, I can't relate to. Today I got update 65 and it was just another improvement. I improved my headset with a halo-like headstrap and built in battery, which I bought for 20$ on Aliexpress. Facemaskd from AMVR and also knucklestraps from the same company. I have the 512 gb version and it is always hooked to the charger via the headstrap. That means it always is ready to use and updates come automatically. I use the Quest in one room and I never need to redraw it, no matter where I use it.

Pico 4 is usd200 cheaper than Quest 3. That's a price banner.
